My Thoughts

My son has struggled with motion sickness since was a little. Anytime we went on long car rides, I used to bring a bowl, just in case. Even now that he's a teenager, I've still had to pull over a few times. To make matters worse, we live at the Jersey Shore and have an awesome boardwalk with lots of upside down roller coasters and Ferris wheels which  is the main hangout for the local youth. For years, when my son went up to the boards with this friends, he either had to sit out the rides or risk having to run to the nearest trashcan when it ended (assuming he made it that far).  Have you ever been standing under a roller coaster when someone pukes? Not fun...I am happy to report that the ReliefBand has changed all that.

The ReliefBand is a device that you wear around your wrist that helps control the nausea associated with motion sickness. At first glance, you might think it was a watch, so you won't have to worry about people stopping to gawk at some odd apparatus on your wrist. It's both compact and discreet, and it works great.  Simply place the band on the underside of the wrist, add a small drop of the conductivity gel (it's hypoallergenic), and you're good to go. If you start to feel ill, simply activate it by pressing the button in the center. Each time you press, you can increase the level of relief. There are five different levels. Once activated, the band sends pulses that stimulate the median nerve. It's a wonderful way to combat motion sickness without any drugs.

My son was thrilled with the results he got with the ReliefBrand, and may even work up the nerve to get on a boat with his friend this year! That's something we never thought he'd be able to handle. Who knows, maybe he can even pursue his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut, something he had written off completely due to motion sickness, even though he's always been a science wiz.

The ReliefBand is also safe to use during pregnancy, and can help with morning sickness. Though I can't vouch for this personally, if it works as well as it does with motion sickness, it's definitely worth a shot!
