My Thoughts

Let me start off by saying that I didn't see the original movie, but I had no trouble following along. I didn't feel lost at all, and I really enjoyed this lighthearted film. The story revolves around a few English people who moved to India for their retirement. Since Sonny's first hotel was such a big success, he decides to open a second one. At the same time, he's planning his own wedding and his English friends are on board to help. Of course, there are lots of complications along the way to fill the film with laughter.

This movie is filled with light humor and a little romance. Richard Gere is amazing, as always. No matter how old he gets, he will always be one of sexiest men alive. I also really enjoyed the wedding scene and getting a little taste of Indian culture, though of course it's laced with humor. Overall, a fun movie to watch once, but not one I would come back to again and again.
