The kitchen-safe Key Ingredient Recipe Tablet is the first fully functional Android tablet made specifically for the kitchen.
Some benefits:
It features text-to-speech technology; the tablet actually reads recipes out loud as you cook along. Now you can prepare entire meals without stopping to find your place or turn a page.
Don’t
worry about counter spills and sink splashes with your Key Ingredient
Recipe Tablet. The heat resistant silicon case easily wipes clean and
adds a layer of protection for bumps and falls.
Previous versions of the recipe tablet have been featured on national shows including The View, The Talk, Good Morning America, Bethenny, The Ellen Degeneres Show and more. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this incredible addition to the home cook’s kitchen.
Key Ingredient (www.Keyingredient.com)

user-generated recipes. The Key Ingredient ecosystem gathers and
syndicates recipes from across KeyIngredient.com to mobile apps and through Wi-Fi to the Key Ingredient Recipe Reader.

My Thoughts
I gotta be honest. I have hardly nothing bad to say about this item. I love this thing... Let me go through the reasons why.
What they say: Easy to use!
-Designed for even the most elementary tech-user, the Reader’s simple navigation, large keyboard and font size make this an easy-to-use kitchen tool.
-Kitchen-safe Construction -Designed for even the most elementary tech-user, the Reader’s simple navigation, large keyboard and font size make this an easy-to-use kitchen tool.
With its sealed glass touch-screen, the Reader is completely mess-proof and can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth.
-The Recipe Reader is equipped with three kitchen timers that can run
simultaneously and a planner feature that allows quick access to
selected recipes to make planning meals a breeze! A substitution tool
and conversion calculator are also available.
What I like about it:
-Before getting my hands on this, I had little index cards, folded
sheets of paper, post-it notes all over my counter or thrown in a recipe
box. Now I can have it all in one stylish, convenient place, and I no
longer have to worry about recipes getting ruined and unreadable when
some water or food ingredient splashes on the index card.
-It IS easy to use. I merely charged it for 8 hours, turned it on,
connected it to my home wifi, and began syncing. When you hit a rut,
read the instructions. The buttons are pretty basic though. You can find
your timer, meal planner, cookbooks, etc.
-The screen rotates, much like a smart phone.
-You can enter your recipes in the computer, on the Key Ingredient
website, and then it takes mere seconds to sync when you turn on the
cookbook. It's so easy!!! OH, and you know what? If say, one of my
recipes was from a specific website, I can go to the website, copy and
paste it, (rather than type it all out!) and even add the photo from the
site to my recipe page, and in turn, to the reader.
One of the recipes I put it in! |
My only complaint is the touch screen: sometimes I would one button but
it would activate the button above it. I had to adjust where I was
placing my fingers, so I was pressing the button below the one I wished
to click. But I have to say, this will make my cooking experiences and
my recipe collecting a heck of a lot neater and more convenient. The
timer is a bonus, the wipability is a bonus, and the recipe planner--I
don't think I'll use it, but it's nice to have. OH--LOVE the conversion
helper. I will be utilizing that and especially appreciate the
ingredient substitution guide. There are also some pretty amazing recipes already available on their website. Here are just a few that are perfect for the holidays.
