 My Thoughts

This portable DVD player is the perfect car accessory for long trips. I actually have a built in DVD in my vehicle, but since I have four kids, two of which are tweens and two of which are toddlers, they rarely agree on what to watch. My son has been using this in the very rear of the van with headphones when we go on long drives, so he can watch what he wants. He found it to be light weight and easy to operate, even though he's only eleven.

I'm not that great with electronics, but mastering the DVD Player was pretty simple. It works just like the DVD player we use at home, expect the screen is built in. When closed, it resembles a laptop. When you're ready to use it, just pop in a DVD and you can start watching. The monitor offers a sharp picture and it has great sound. The volume goes really high for such a small device. I also like that you can swivel the monitor in case more than one person is trying to watch. I tried a variety of region 1 DVDs and they all worked great. When fully charged, the battery lasted for about two hours.
In addition to watching DVDs, there were a few other uses I found useful. First, it also works with CDs. Yes, I am one of those people who are still stuck in the 90's and haven't upgraded to digital music, so I like the idea of having an extra CD player around in case my old one breaks. The unit also comes with a game disc which my son thought was awesome. He's been wanting to see what some of the old Atari games were like and this gave him a chance to see some of the classics including: Bomber Man, Circus, and 1942. It also has the capability to pick up FM radio and even analog television.

Overall, I am really happy with this DVD player. I mostly wanted it for entertaining my children, and it came through in spades, plus gave me some great bonus features I never expected. For all it does, it is available for a very reasonable price.

Available exclusively on Amazon.
