My Thoughts

I love my Zumba Wii games and often use them with my teenagers, but it was a little too intense for the grade-school kids, so I was excited to get this one for my younger children. Zumba Kids was definitely a big hit in our house. This game offers twenty different dance styles and more than thirty tracks including Boogie Wonderland, Wipeout, Fireball and many more. Some of the diverse dance styles include ballet, salsa and swing, but there are lots more to choose from. The dances are toned down a little from the adult version, making it much easier for younger kids to keep up without getting frustrated.  As you play, you can earn points that can be traded in for rewards and there are tons of cool mini games to play. You can choose to play single player or get the whole family involved in multi-player mode. You can have as many as four players at one time.

My kids really loved Zumba Kids. It helps them develop their coordination and learn some basic dance skills and it actually gets them up and moving around a little. Not many video games can make that claim. They enjoyed seeing the real kids on the screen dancing along with them, as well as the colorful backgrounds and familiar songs from artists they love. As they get more advanced, they can even change the mode for a more challenging level.  Definitely a fun choice for kids around 7-12.
