My Thoughts

In the summer months, kids can get lazy and forget a lot of what they learned in the school years.  ArtSkills Learning Tools are an affordable way to get your children to practice math and writing skills, but still have fun doing it. We were lucky enough to get two of the ArtSkills products to try out. The first was the dry erase activity board. This one small board has the entire alphabet, numbers, and even shapes that can be traced and drawn independently. Its the perfect way for preschool kids to tighten up with skills because practice makes perfect. With this board they can practice over and over again. There's even a section to draw pictures which I used as a reward when my daughter completed one of the tasks. The book does not come with a dry erase pen, but I found regular, washable markers worked just fine and then there is no worry about getting the markers on their clothes.

The second item we tried out was the U.S. Coins and Bills. It comes with a variety of paper bills and coins that will help children learn the value of a dollar. They can count the money and learn to recognize how much each piece of currency is worth. For us, this came at the perfect time because my daughter received a toy cash register for her birthday. Now she has some money to use in it, and her older sister is helping her learn to count it while they play grocery store with their toy food.

The best part about these items and all the new ArtSkills products available at Dollar General is the price. Each of these educational toys are only $1 each. You can't ask for a better price,  especially when they are quality items that have held up to hours of rough play already and are still going strong. I definitely recommend these learning tools and will be headed to Dollar General soon to see what else they have available.
