Get in Touch With Your Vintage Side With Shabby Apple

By Tara

This is not a sponsored post. No financial reimbursement was received, only an item in exchange for an honest review.

If you're anything like me, you love vintage things--especially the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. I watch classic movies, read historical books, have a classic car in the garage, and love vintage clothes. It's time to bring those days back. You agree? With me? Come on...

Let's go back to the styles that embraced a woman's natural body...that look good on any size and type.

Introducing Shabby Apple!

This site is so full of cute clothes, I don't know where to begin... You can search via polka dots, the jazz age, swimsuits, and above all, VINTAGE CLOTHING.

You can search by material and style, by color, by size. Oh--price too. There are so many ways to search for what you're looking for, there's no doubt you'll find it. (I love the body type search)

Me, I have a thing for the jazz age...and I chose this one

I love how it graces my curves and it's just overall the type of dress you don't have to be a size 0 to look good in. I studied the stitching and it's well done. It doesn't appear to be falling apart at all. The material is thick and shimmery. I used the size chart to determine my size and the dress fits perfectly.

An added bonus: a little tag came on the dress that says "By buying this dress, you're helping change the lives of women around the world. Shabby Apple is sharing a percentage of its profits with Unitus, an organization working to bring life-changing micro-loans to world's working poor." It proceeds to tell me the name of the person being helped. I hope she doesn't have a  high interest rate.

On a serious note, I like that touch. I like that Shabby Apple is helping people.

P.S. They have a FB Page and at this time a special summer sale being advertised at the top of their website. 20% off.
