StoneFire Authentic Flatbreads Introduces Italian Pizza Crust: Quick, Easy Meals for Busy Summer Days

I love pizza and I like to eat somewhat healthy, so I'm a tad weary of fast food pizza. I love to make it myself, but I've got a quibble about most of the store bought pizza crusts: they get soggy!!! You can't pick them up and eat the slices the "American" way. I'm always forced to eat the British way. It's just too messy otherwise. Yes, I eat my pizza with a knife and fork. LOL

Well, I received some Italian Thin Pizza Crusts with Sauce to try from Stonefire.

What they say: Hand-stretched, baked on stone as they do in Italy, and made with all-natural ingredients, the Italian Thin Pizza Crust (SRP $3.99) comes in a round shape and is packaged with an authentic Italian sauce made with real tomatoes and basil. The crust is fully cooked - simply top with your favorite ingredients and bake for 7-10 minutes for a soft crust or directly on the rack for 6-8 minutes for crispy.

What I say: Both the husband and I really enjoyed this crust. The first crust, I made just traditional pepperoni, using the sauce that came with the pizza. I merely added cheese and pepperoni to that and popped it in the oven. The entire process took me fifteen minutes, and that includes cooking time. The crust is crispy, crunchy, and you can pick it up. It doesn't fall apart or droop or get soggy. ALSO, you don't have to spray the baking sheet. This crust just plain doesn't stick. No scraping required.

The second pizza crust, I tried their Chicken, Bacon, Tomato, Alfredo recipe and I stacked this baby thick with ingredients. Still, the crust did not fail me. I did not have to use a knife and fork. LOL

Conclusion: This pizza crust rocks. Did I mention it tastes good?

Also, you can freeze them.

Okay, moving on....to their authentic tandoori naan. They also sent me some naan samples: whole wheat, regular, and garlic.

What they say: Stonefire naan are baked at extremely high heat, in a tandoor oven, just as they were hundreds of years ago. The extremely high heat produces the big bubbles, airy texture and delicious smoky flavour of an authentic Indian naan. Hand stretched and made with all natural ingredients including traditional, fresh buttermilk and ghee (clarified butter), naan can be used to create any meal.

I'm rather ashamed to confess....I didn't do anything fancy with these. They have some lovely looking recipes on their site, but I honestly just plain love what I did, however simple it may be considered. I sorta made quesadillas of them. Naan and melted cheeses folded up. At one point I added ham. I really loved the garlic and the original. I see myself buying these for midnight snacks if I can find them in the stores here. Kid you not. I did not like the whole wheat. It should be noted, however, that I don't like whole wheat anything. It always taste like cardboard to me.

Except for the whole wheat, I can see why Stonefire has been credited with making the #1 naan in America.

My naan quesadilla. Provolone, cheddar, parmesan.
Warmed and ready to eat.

I microwaved my naan, but it can be grilled or barbecued or baked as well...and warmed on the stove top.

I def recommend these products. Summer, winter, fall, spring, everybody loves pizza and we all have those busy days when we don't have time for much else. And those of you with kids, you can even let the kiddos add the toppings. :)

All that being said, go give Stonefire a LIKE on Facebook. They appear to post users' recipes every Friday. You may get yourself on there!
