Review: Healthy Fromm Treats for Dogs on Chewy.com

By Tara.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. I received an item in exchange for an honest review.

I've got some very finicky eaters in the form of my canine kids. Ok...Lemme me clarify. My pug will eat anything. She thinks cat and deer poop is a delicacy, but my Peck...that dog wants to go to Hollywood. She's anorexic. My Japanese Chin, while I've never seen her refuse a treat, she will be a bit more cautious than the pug in what she devours.

But we have a problem with sensitive tummies. Certain treats will agree with one of the dogs, but the other will vomit shortly after eating it. The pug will get a rash. The peck will become constipated. The list is endless.

Chewy.com has a variety of healthy dog treats for the picky dog parent to choose from. And I'm pleased to say the bag of treats they sent me did not give the pug a rash or make the peck constipated or make the little one throw up. It agreed with all three.

What I received: Fromm Oven-Baked Lamb with Cranberry Recipe.

Pudgy Pug waiting on a treat.
The good:
-Except for the peckingese balking at first, the girls seemed to like them, the pug especially.
-They are grain-free with fresh cranberries, apples, vegetables, and parsley
-The bag is resealable, like a ziplock bag, ensuring the treats stay fresh.
-My sensitive dogs did not get sick....and it turns out this is because of the grain-free thing. These are made for dogs like mine.
-They are good for teeth.
-They are made in the USA, NOT China. This is a bonus in light of that scary fiasco last year with dogs dying from made-in-China chicken treats.

The bad:
-They are HARD. I had to break them up for the little one, the Japanese Chin. It should be noted, however, that she has had dental surgery twice and does not have all her teeth. The Peck seemed to have to take her time too. They are very hard. I'd suggest if your dog seems to balk, soften them just a tad with water. That also worked real well with the Japanese Chin.

Overall, I'd give them four paws out of five. I'm pleased with them. And upon browsing their site, I've found they have more than just treats; they also have poop bags, cat stuff, flea & tick prevention, and dry food. It's almost one-stop shop online for your pooch.

Check it out and have a pawsitive day. :)
