Book Review & Giveawy: Huggy Kissy by Leslie Patricelli

 Huggy Kissy
By Leslie Patricelli

9780763632465 | $6.99 | 12/2012 | 1 yr - 3 yrs

When you’re an adorable bald baby, your family finds lots of ways to show you how much they love you: Mommy lifts you uppy, Daddy kisses you on the tummy, and everyone wants to snuggle. What’s not to love? With comedy and warmth, Leslie Patricelli offers a universal tribute to love and affection in a board book full of instant appeal for little valentines everywhere.

Our Thoughts

Today Huggy Kissy by Leslie Patricelli arrived in the mail.  I told my son I had a new book for him; that immediately got his attention.  He was super excited when he saw the cover – we have several of Leslie Patricelli’s books already and he loves them!  He insisted we read it right then and there, and had to read it 3 times in a row.  It’s a cute book about, of course, hugs and kisses - perfect for my little guy since he is loves his hugs and kisses - and of course the bright colorful illustrations easily keep his interest too.  (Personally I love the cover of this one because I am just that much of a dog person!)  Also, it’s a board book which is easier on my son’s motor skills, and much more durable than a paperback for my destructive little 4 yr old. My kid loves his books, and Leslie Patricelli is definitely one of his top 3 favorite authors.
