Atlas Shrugged Part II Blu-Ray Review

Part two of Ayn Rand’s groundbreaking novel comes to the screen in this thrilling and powerful drama. The global economy is on the brink of collapse. Brilliant creators, from artists to industrialists, continue to mysteriously disappear. Dagny Taggart, Vice President in Charge of Operations for Taggart Transcontinental, has discovered what may very well be the answer to a mounting energy crisis - a revolutionary motor that could seemingly power the World. But, the motor is dead... there is no one left to decipher its secret... and, someone is watching. It's a race against the clock to find the inventor before the motor of the World is stopped for good.

My Thoughts

Atlas Shrugged Part II follows the continued economic decline of the world. There is a lot of government oppression and people who contest it seem to vanish without a traceA lot of what happens in eerily simialr to what is gradually happening in our own world.. This is one of those movies that really makes you think. Like most film adaptions, this one doesn't quite live up the majesty of the novel, but the book was a hard act to follow and I think they did a decent job all things considered. I would highly recommend  that you watch the first film the series before watching this one or you might get a little lost. Aside from that, there is nothing negative to say. All the actors did terrific job. Sets were realistic and believable. A great futuristic film that gives you a realistic look at where our world is going.
