Excerpts from the Heart: A Conscious Approach to Parenting contains 25 parenting concepts that help parents foster their child's innate and profound wisdom and keep children connected with their authentic selves. It's intention is to inspire mothers to open their minds and hearts and most of all, be willing to realize that there can be a different way to parent, bringing fulfillment, joy, and peace.
EXCERPTS FROM THE HEART OF A MOM is a quick yet informative read that makes an excellent gift. It launches November 27 on BarnesandNoble.com and Amazon.com, and is available for purchase at the companion website, www.LiveThroughTheHeart.com.
Like so many of us, author Jennifer Laurent experienced something transcendent when she became a parent. Yet she started to realize that some of her own negative childhood experiences might affect the way she parented her child. She knew that for her son to be happy, she needed to break the cycle of habitual reactions, and became determined to grow into a positive and present influence as both a mother, and a human being.
As a former clinical social worker who helped families in crisis, Jennifer kept a journal to help gain perspective on the journey ahead, and to become more aware of her thoughts, feelings, parental and personal desires. This journal became EXCERPTS FROM THE HEART OF A MOM, her first book in which she shares her fundamental insights of conscious parenting.

Our Thoughts
The most notable thing about this book, is that it really makes you realize
that "parenting in the moment" is very beneficial for both mother/parent and
child. I enjoyed this conscious approach to parenting concept.
Some of my favorite points in this book were allowing our children to feel
safe and happy during uncertain times, instead of anxious, and that "little
white lies" can be detrimental to the trust in a parent/child relationship. My
third favorite part of this book was teaching our children (and ourselves) the
importance of knowing when and how to ask for help.
This book was not long, it wasn't too short either but just compact enough
and to the point to not have your mind wander while reading. Furthermore, the
concepts in this book were backed up by the author's own personal experiences,
to which I enjoyed reading.

This a novel that is a romantic adventure wrapped into a mystery in which the main character must go through personal growth and transformation. http://questforthelostname.com/ I would love to know what you think!
