Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life DVD Review

Take a family-friendly adventure around Manhattan without leaving the comfort of home!  Based on the beloved children’s novel by Wendy Mass, the new DVD release of Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life follows a boy’s adventures around New York City as he pursues his personal quest for the “meaning of life.”
Just one month before his 13th birthday, Jeremy receives a mysterious wooden box with the words “The Meaning of Life – for Jeremy Fink to open on his 13th birthday.”  The search for the box’s four keys leads him and his best friend Lizzy on the search of a lifetime!

Starring Academy Award® winner Mira Sorvino and Emmy Award® winner Joe Pantoliano, this engaging film (rated PG) is available on DVD

Our Thoughts: I am always up for a movie with a little bit of magic mixed in, and Jeremy Fink definitely brings that and more to the table.  This coming of age film will bring you on an adventure unlike any other. Jeremy receives a mysterious gift on his 13th birthday, but before he can open it and find the secret to life, he must find all the keys. His journey leads him from flea markets to museums and along the way he learns a little history and has a lot of fun. My daughter read the book last year and she loved it. She was excited to see the pages come to life on the screen, especially since the movie stayed true to the book in most areas. I don't want to give too much away, but this is a fun and exciting film that would make a great choice for family movie night.
