Holiday Gift Guide - The Magic School Bus Oceans for Nintendo DS Review


 There are tons of video games out there, but most of them are just for fun. That is okay sometimes, but its always nice to find games that are educational as well as entertaining. Based off the popular television series, The Magic School Bus: Oceans for Nintendo DS manages to do both with fun interactive games that teach children all about life under the sea.

In The Magic School Bus: Oceans, you will join Ms. Frizzle's class on a field trip filled with under water discoveries. There are several different types of activities, providing hours of exciting game play. In the Explore Ocean Science challenge you earn points by diving deeper into the six different oceans and explore the murky depths. In play to learn, you can choose from seven different games and almost 200 science interactions. Finally, Discover Sea Creatures and learn over 100 facts about 100 different sea animals. For even more interactive fun, you can visit the Magic School Bus page in the Scholastic website.

If you have a child who would love to get this game for the holidays, it is available in stores nationwide including WalMart, Target and Game Stop for $19.99. You can also find it online at Amazon for only $16.00. For any child who loves video games, this is a great choice for a holiday stocking stuffer.
