Our Thoughts:  I remember watching the Lion King in the movie theater when I was a freshman in high school with a whole group of friends. No one thought we were "too cool" for this Disney cartoon. The audience was packed with everyone from toddlers to senior citizens.  Its a movie that was an instant classic and that people of all ages love. I had the VHS copy of it for years, and just recently it finally gave out on me. So of course I was thrilled to see that Disney was releasing the Diamond addition Blu-Ray/ DVD combo from the Disney Vault.

My children and I watched the Diamond Edition on Blu Ray, and it was like being back in the theater all those years ago. The picture quality and sound is amazing. We watched Simba grow, cried when his father was killed, and danced and sang along with all our favorite songs. In addition to the feature film, we also had a few good laughs watching the new animated bloopers. My Disney collection wouldn't have been complete without the Lion King and I am thrilled to have had the chance to share this timeless film with my children.

Our Thoughts: When I was in high school, I LOVED reading R.L Stine's Fear Street books. I read every single one and there had to be a few hundred of them. A few years later when I was babysitting, the kids were reading Goosebumps books, and I was glad to see he was still writing, even though I was a little too old for those books. Ten years later, Goosebumps are still around and have made the move to both television and DVD.  I was excited to share the work of one of idol's with my children. We watched both the Goosebumps DVDs and loved them. 


As a lover of comic books, my son's favorite episode was "Attack of the Mutant". From being to end, it was filled with exciting twists. The second disk has three different episodes including the "The Barking Ghost" which tells the tale of ghost hounds looking to take over the children's bodies. "Ghost Beach" is a spooky show about a ghost that haunts the shoreline and eats animals. And finally, "Phantom of the Auditorium" is a modern version of my favorite musical.  All of the shows have surprise endings that you never see coming. With Halloween only a few weeks away, these are great DVDs to get and enjoy with your family. They are spooky but still family friendly, and lots of fun. R.L Stine never lets me down.

Crunchmaster Gluten Free Crackers Review & #Rafflecopter Giveaway

I try my best to keep my family as active as possible. Both of my children are  involved in sports and their TV and video game time is limited to an hour a day. But its also important to watch what they eat. I also worry about my husband because he isn't getting any younger and he complains about eating healthy foods even more than the kids do. We received a few varieties of Crunchmaster to try out. I personally LOVED the  White Cheddar. They are light and crunchy and not greasy at all.  The 7 Ancient Grains were tasty too. They are lightly salted and nice and crispy. They  both have lots of flavor, and don't taste like card board like most gluten free products.  My kids and my husband loved them too. They would never have guessed they were a healthier alternative to regular crackers. But I know the difference, and even if they cost a little bit more, they are definitely worth it because they are so much healthier for my family.

I Built It! Board Games Review & Giveaway

I have reviewed a lot of board games in the two years I've been blogging, but the classic games are still my personal favorites. I love checkers, chess and tic tac toe. All of my children loved getting involved in creating our game pieces. My Own Pet Balloon Review & Giveaway

OUR THOUGHTS: Puzzler Mind Gym is rated E and was designed for kids ages seven and older. My children are eleven and nine, and they had a great time trying out the wide range of games. And even though I normally don't do very well when I try to play video games, I even enjoyed the challenging word games. There are also number games, memory games, visual skill testers and more, all of which really get you thinking. You can choose to play is 3D or 2D. I prefer the 2D because the 3D hurts my eyes (because I'm old according to the kids). But they loved seeing the games jump up off the screen. And with more than 700 games to choose from, it never gets boring and there is something for everyone.
