Trick or Treat on the Washington Street Mall in Cape May

We live at the Jersey Shore, within minutes from the beautiful Victorian town called Cape May.  In Cape May, there is a sidewalk mall called the Washington Street Mall with lots of cute little shops and restaurants, including the one where my husband works as the executive chef. Every year, on the Sunday before Halloween, they host a trick or treating event for the kids. All the stores give out candy and little toys like silly bands and finger pupperts. Some even give little cups of water ice. I took the kids to this event yesterday. It was a lovely day and we had lots of fun. I thought I'd share a few pictures.

Some of the Victorian shops. Some of them are rumored to be haunted. A great setting for Halloween! They have a ghost tour that runs all year.

Gabby and Frankie in their costumes.

We ran into another baby with Willow's costume (she is the one on the right).

A few more shops including a Victorian Kohr Brothers.

New fountains that they just put in last year.

This is hubby's restaurant.

Daddy come out from work to say hello.

This is the Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Its at least 125 years old. Maybe older.

Willow is loving her first Halloween event.  But it was almost 80 degrees and it was getting a little hot for her in that costume.

Happy Halloween!
