Listerine/Reach October Oral Care Challenge Blog Tour

This year my son had a cavity. I was horrified and felt like a terrible mother. How could this happen? I always make them brush their teeth and floss twice a day. I took them to the dentist twice a year. The mistake I made was thinking that an eight year old  could be trusted to brush without constant supervision. Once I started watching closer, I realized he barely had the tooth brush in his mouth and was just tossing the floss in the trash. So now, I have to stand there and watch to make sure he does it right. He moans and groans about it the whole time.

Listerine and Reach understand how frustrating it can be to get kids to take care of their teeth properly. That's why they make their products fun and appealing to kids. Their newest products feature some of my kids favorite characters like Batman and Barbie. This in itself is encouraging my kids to brush more. But that is only the beginning of what these remarkable companies have to offer. Reach Total Care Mint Floss is a fun way to get kids to floss. They will love the cool mint taste and it glides in gently so it won't hurt sensitive gums.

When its time to rinse with mouth wash, I have always used Listerine. But my kids would gag when I tried to make them swish with it. It does sting even my mouth a little, so I can only imagine how it would feel to a child. But now Listerine has some new options. Some of the mouthwashes feature the same fun characters as the Reach Toothbrushes. But my kids favorite is the Listerine Agent Cool Blue  Pre-Brush Rinse. This one actually turns their teeth blue and shows them where to brush. They thought it was really cool and they actually WANTED to brush their teeth until it was all gone.

Of course, Reach and Listerine still offer the classic products we all know and love. Cool Mint Listerine was always one of my favorite and now they have Listerine Zero which does the same work with less sting. The new Reach Total Care plus Whitening Tooth Brush is the perfect combination of comfort and clean. The soft bristles won't hurt your gums and but they micrawhitening technology really makes teeth shine.

My family is using all these awesome products and and taking the October Oral Care Challenge. The point of this is to get your whole family to brush, floss and rinse at least twice a day for three weeks. It has only been a few days since these items arrived, but so far its no challenge at all. Listerine and Reach has made brushing fun and both my older kids are running for the sink before bed and in the morning.

To learn more about Reach and Listerine and all the amazing products they offer, you can visit their websites. You should also take a few minutes to visit the American's Tooth Fairy.org and lean about the "Trick or Treat for America's Toothfairy Campaign. This amazing program raises awareness of pediatric dental disease and helps provide life changing care to underserved children. Your kids can collect donations while they are trick or treating this Halloween to help other children get the help they need to keep their smiles shiny and white.  And make sure you pick up some Reach and Listerine products today because we're all going to need them this week after all that Halloween candy!

***I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of LISTERINE and REACH and received products to take the Oral Care Challenge. I also received a Global Giving gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.***
