This book makes for many hours of entertainment.

The graphics in the book are colorful and fun. The activities are not only entertaining but also educational. My daughter is six and she was able to complete most of the activities independently. Spot A Lot! Animal Escape - #Giveaway

There's trouble at the zoo today The animals have run away! The animals are everywhere! Look very carefully as you help the zookeeper count and spot all the zoo runaways in this great animal escape. A bright and busy book to keep you searching, spotting, reading and counting together again and again!

My Thoughts

This is a really fun set because it includes both a delightful picture book and a two-in-one jigsaw puzzle.  In the book, kids are encouraged to locate and count different animals that have run away from the zoo. They have to locate 1 giraffe, 2 elephants, etc. This is a great because it teaches them about different animals and helps they learn their numbers and counting. The illustrations are very well done and held my children's attention.

The puzzle is also lots of fun. There are thirty-six pieces in the puzzle.  On one side, there is a full color puzzle with a scene from the book. On the other side, the kids can color in the pieces themselves. My kids really loved this book and the corresponding puzzle. It is encouraging them to read, count, and even do a little artwork, all for one low price.

@Parragon Book #Giveaway - Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere

It's Halloween and there are pumpkins everywhere! Follow the adventures of four little trick-or treaters as they make their way to their towns pumpkin parade.

 My Thoughts

This is a cute book and a nice choice for Halloween. The illustrations are really beautiful. There's lots of color and kids in costumes. My children did enjoy flipping through and looking at the pictures, but there really isn't any story-line to hold their attention. Most of the pages are just a two words,  like "Pumpkin Happy" or "Pumpkin Sad"and the faces on the pumpkins match the descriptions. This is the type of thing I would expect on an infant's board book, but not a picture book for older children.

A litter further into it, the lines get a little longer,  like the pumpkin leading the parade. For very young children, it might be a good way to teach about emotions, but for the most part, I found the story lacking, especially when most of the pages aren't even complete sentence.  The illustrations are great. I just wish the story was just more interesting.

Parragon Book #Giveaway - Where You Go, I Go

Baby Elephant and Mommy Elephant go everywhere and do everything together. Whether they are sploshing and washing, walking and talking, or munching and crunching, Baby is never far from Mommy's side! A tender tale of a very special relationship, perfect for parents and children to share, wherever they may go...

My Thoughts

Where You Go, I Go is a cute little story about a baby elephant who follows his mother like an ever present shadow. We follow them through their day as they munch on leaves and enjoy a light rain. No matter where or what the mother elephant does, the baby follows, from when the sun rises in the morning until they go back to bed at night.

My children did enjoy this book, but the meter seemed a little off to me. Some parts rhymed and some didn't, and there wasn't really anything exciting happening or any real moral. However, what the book lacks in storyline it makes up for with its stunning illustrations. Each image is so vivid and detailed, you feel like you can step right into them.

Overall, it's a cute book for very young children, probably five and under.

Book Review & #Giveaway - Spot a Lot! Vehicle Adventure

Counting has never been so fun! With this amazing picture book, children will love to search, count and learn about the different vehicles!

My Thoughts

Spot A Lot! Vehicle Adventure is a really fun book. It starts out with a delivery boy getting stuck when his truck breaks down. He needs to find another way to deliver his package, and on each page, he hitches a ride from a different type of vehicle. There are trucks, scooters, tractors, airplanes and more.  When he finally reaches his destination and drops off the package, he even gets to ride a rocket pack.

The story is cute and short, so it holds even small children's attention, but this book also helps to teach counting skills. Each time he switches vehicles, the number rises. So there are 2 cars, 3 dirt bikes, etc. There are also other little tasks on each page for the kids to complete, like finding mermaids in the ocean amidst all the boats or sleepy moles  in holes after the yellow diggers wake them up. All of these activities encourage kids to count.

Both my four-year-old son and five-year old daughter really enjoyed this book. The illustrations are adorable and the activities are lots of fun. It's a great book to take along on car rides because it will keep kids entertained for hours.

Book Review & #Giveaway - The Nose That Knows

When Milo's knowing nose finds a scent it likes, nothing will stop it. Nose to the ground, Milo is led anywhere and everywhere- out the door, through the park, up a skyscraper, and even to outer space! But will Milo's nose ever lead him home? Follow Milo the dog as he follows his NOSE in this funny yet sweet rhyme illustrated by artist Barroux.

 My Thoughts

The Nose that Knows is an adorable story about a dog named Milo and his owner Molly. Milo loves Molly, but he also loves food. He follows his nose whenever the scent of food takes him, and he winds up in some pretty fantastic places, from scaling an office building to landing on the moon! But in the end, his nose takes him back to the little girl he loves.

My children really liked this book. It's beautifully illustrated with adorable characters and bright colors. The story is just long enough to hold their attention without them getting bored. Best of all, it teaches a valuable lesson. Home is where the heart is!

Glitterbelle Books from Parragon - #Giveaway

***I received this product from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site.***
Parragon is one of the largest illustrated non-fiction publishers in the world. From great selections of Disney, Barbie, Monster High, Ever After High, Discovery Kids, Dora, TMNT, Sponge Bob to in-house favorites including Little Learners, Pinkabella, Dino Supersaurus, Glitterbelle, Life Canvas, Love Food and more, they make books affordable and accessible to readers all around the globe. Here are a few great choices for your little ones.

Glitterbelle is a glittery, sparkly, EXTRAORDINARY princess. But she has one not-so-sparkly, very ordinary problem… she will not eat her peas! When the queen reminds her that every princess in the family should LOVE peas because of that famous one that was hidden under the mattresses, Glitterbelle worries that she isn't a true princess at all. How can her friends and family convince her that she really is the sparkliest princess ever? A beautiful picture book with gorgeous collage-style art to admire.

 My Thoughts

Glitterbelle is a fun book that is sure to be a big hit with all the little princesses out there.  Glitterbelle is a unique princess. She loves to climb trees, dreams of being a vet, has two friends who are a witch and a ballerina, and hates peas. This is odd because her ancestor was proven a princess when she couldn't sleep with a pea under her mattress. Glitterbelle gets even more worried when she tries to kiss a frog and he doesn't turn into a princes. She thinks she might not be a real princess. Her parents try to teach her she can be different and still be a princess, and along the way, she learns that peas are better than she thought.

Though it was a little on the long side, this is definitely an adorable book. It teaches kids to be true to themselves and also encourages them to eat their vegetables.  The illustrations are really unique. The artist sketches the characters, then adds them to 3D scenes made from card-stock, fabric, and gems. The daughter loved the sparkly backgrounds and enjoyed learning about Princess Glitterbelle and her friends.

Glitterbelle Doodle, Dazzle, and Create is a fun companion book. There is a story included about Glitterbelle inviting her friends over for a slumber party. While they're there, they make crafts and decorations, and your child can make them right along with them. You can cut out a beautiful paper crowns, draw sketches, and so much more. It's tons of fun and a great way to encourage kids to read. It also comes with a cute little notebook is a tin case.

Easter Gift Guide - Parragon Books Dino Supersaurus

If you have boys who love dinosaurs, Parragon Books has the perfect gifts for Easter. Their brand new Dino Supersaurus books will provide hours of interactive fun for boys and girls of all ages.

Dino Supersaurus: Superpower Coloring

It’s a fight of good over evil in down-town New Dino City. Follow the struggles of our band of fearless Dino Supersaurs in this cool coloring book as they test their superpowers against T-Rex and his fellow baddies. With comic strips to read and complete, hilarious dinosaur humor and things to count, spot and find on every action-packed coloring spread and a covermount flip book showing the action in Dino City, this book is sure to beat boredom into submission!

My Thoughts

Dinosaur heroes fight prehistoric villains to get control of the city. In his alternate version of reality, the meteor that was thought to kill the dinosaurs instead gives them superpowers. The story is told in comic-book style, but there are sections in this version that kids can color for themselves. It even comes with a bonus flip book. Travel with the dinos to the baseball arena, the museum, and help them save the Dino City. This fun and interactive story will provide hours of entertainment.

Dino Supersaurus: Scribblasaurus Book

Kids can sketch, doodle, scribble and scrawl their favorite Dino Supersaurs in this book of fast and furious creative fun. Packed with inspiration for dinosaur doodles, the humorous cartoons and sketchy art style will capture the imagination of budding doodlers - and there’s plenty of blank space for children to fill with their own creations, too. With over 1000 stickers to embellish pictures and two cool moveable parts dino erasers to rub out mistakes.

My Thoughts

In this part of the series, the Dinos are still battling evil but  now kids can really bring the story to life by adding their own drawings to the scenes. The Scribblasaurus book leaves sections of artwork blank so little artists can fill them in with their own ideas. The book also comes with a pair of adorable dinosaur erasers just in case they make a mistake and 1000 stickers! The best part about these books is that they have a tons of activities, but they still tell an interesting story of good vs evil as the dinos battle for control of Dino City. My son loved this one!

Dino Supersaurus 2000 Stickers

“Dino Supersaurus 2000 Stickers” is packed with scenes to fill with stickers, as well as sticker-and-doodle pictures to complete and inventive puzzles and activities. Children will love using the cartoon sound effects and speech bubble stickers to complete the comic strips and make the superpowered dinosaur goodies and baddies burst into life. 2000 all-action, Dino Supersaur stickers for hours of stickering fun!

My Thoughts

Wow! This book comes with 2000 stickers! That's a great deal all on its own, but in addition to the stickers, this book has lots more to offer. Journey through another epic adventure through Dino City. Along the way, you can complete mazes, learn patterns, sketch pictures, and so much more.  I loved all the books in this series, but I think this one was our favorite because there's just so much to do and, as always, there's an exciting tale told in comic book style to go along with it. Dino Supersaurus is a great way to engage kids and get them interested in reading.

Dino Supersaurus: Stickersaurus

The evil T-Rex is on the rampage and the Dino Supersaurs need to stop him in his tracks. This book opens out into 7 giant story scenes showing the streets, cityscape and skies of New Dino City. With over 50 reusable stickers to stick, lift and restick, children can read the story panels and create their own action-packed scenes. Comes with super-stretchy dinosaur character ready for combat!

My Thoughts

Stickersaurus is another interactive sticker book, but with this one the stickers are larger and can be used to create scenes within the story. They can also be moved from place to place within the book without tearing. Battle the evil T-Rex on giant fold out pages. There are seven huge pages and a cool story to go along with it. As an added bonus, there is a stretch dinosaur action figure included. Yet another fun addition to a fun series. Collect them all to have lots of prehistoric fun.

Here are some great ones for pre-school aged kids between two and four.

Light Up Sound Book: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Little Learners)

Little ones will love this unique light-up sound book. Press the buttons and sing along as you read this favorite nursery rhyme to your child. With a cute hooting owl and two sparkly star noises, this book encourages interactive play and hand-eye coordination in children ages 6+ months.
The Little Learners baby and toddler series is fun, engaging, and research-supported. Each book is designed especially to help babies’ and toddlers’ development. With cute, contemporary design, memorable stories or rhymes, sturdy construction, and playful elements, Little Learners is designed to stimulate a child’s curiosity about life and language. Reading with children has never been more important, more special, or more fun!
My Thoughts

This book walks you through the classic lullaby and makes a great bedtime story. Each page has another line of the song. The illustrations show a pair of adorable owls, a mother and child, studying the stars. As you read along, kids can press the buttons at the top for fun sounds and lights. There are a few lines of the music from the song, owl hoots, and twinkle sounds. My little ones loved it!

Peek-a-boo Rainbow (Little Learners)

Can you guess what color is next in the rainbow? Explore your way through the peek-a-boo holes and see a red apple, green frog, and more in this new addition to the bestselling Little Learners range from Parragon. This unique, chunky board book has been developed with an educational consultant to support the learning of colors and simple concepts. The interactive play format, with peek-a-boo holes to follow through each page, supports development of hand-eye coordination and creative thinking in babies and toddlers.

My Thoughts

This adorable board book is a great way to teach kids all the colors of the rainbow. Each page has a different color and lists a few other things that share the same shade. For example, the first page is red and shows apples and ladybugs. There's also a little open spot on each page giving you a "peek" at one of the characters coming up.  My children loved all the cute little creatures playing peek-a-boo with them. The story is short enough to hold the attention of even very young children and it will help them learn their colors. The pages are nice and thick so they won't be easy for toddlers to rip.  A great first book for any child but even preschoolers will enjoy it.

I Feel Happy Slide and See (Little Learners)

Teach your little one about feelings with this sturdy board book featuring bright, interactive slide out tabs to help children learn hand-eye coordination, first words, and knowledge about the world around them.  Friendly, colorful animal characters greet children on every page, and kids will love to slide out the tabs to reveal more fun. Ideal for ages 1+.
The Little Learners baby and toddler series is fun, engaging, and research-supported. Each book is designed especially to help babies.

My Thoughts

All kids love slider books and this one is tons of fun. Every page shows a different little animal including bears cats, turtles and pigs to name just a few. Each one talks about a few different emotions, like feeling happy when they're with their family or sad when they have to say goodbye to someone they love. The fun part for toddlers is being able to pull out the tabs and see new scenes with their favorite animals. My son loved the bright illustrations and reading this book is helping him understand his feelings a little better.

These are just a few examples of the fun books you can find at Parragaon Books. For more great titles for your kids, be sure to visit the Parragon website or connect with them via social media.
