Easter Gift Guide - Little Learners from Parragon Books

With Easter only a few weeks away, it's time to start thinking about what you want to put in those baskets. A little candy is fine, but to give your kids a real treat and offer them the gift of reading. At Parragon Books, you can find fun and creative titles for kids of all ages. Here are some great ones for pre-school aged kids between two and four.

Light Up Sound Book: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Little Learners)

Little ones will love this unique light-up sound book. Press the buttons and sing along as you read this favorite nursery rhyme to your child. With a cute hooting owl and two sparkly star noises, this book encourages interactive play and hand-eye coordination in children ages 6+ months.
The Little Learners baby and toddler series is fun, engaging, and research-supported. Each book is designed especially to help babies’ and toddlers’ development. With cute, contemporary design, memorable stories or rhymes, sturdy construction, and playful elements, Little Learners is designed to stimulate a child’s curiosity about life and language. Reading with children has never been more important, more special, or more fun!
My Thoughts

This book walks you through the classic lullaby and makes a great bedtime story. Each page has another line of the song. The illustrations show a pair of adorable owls, a mother and child, studying the stars. As you read along, kids can press the buttons at the top for fun sounds and lights. There are a few lines of the music from the song, owl hoots, and twinkle sounds. My little ones loved it!

Peek-a-boo Rainbow (Little Learners)

Can you guess what color is next in the rainbow? Explore your way through the peek-a-boo holes and see a red apple, green frog, and more in this new addition to the bestselling Little Learners range from Parragon. This unique, chunky board book has been developed with an educational consultant to support the learning of colors and simple concepts. The interactive play format, with peek-a-boo holes to follow through each page, supports development of hand-eye coordination and creative thinking in babies and toddlers.

My Thoughts

This adorable board book is a great way to teach kids all the colors of the rainbow. Each page has a different color and lists a few other things that share the same shade. For example, the first page is red and shows apples and ladybugs. There's also a little open spot on each page giving you a "peek" at one of the characters coming up.  My children loved all the cute little creatures playing peek-a-boo with them. The story is short enough to hold the attention of even very young children and it will help them learn their colors. The pages are nice and thick so they won't be easy for toddlers to rip.  A great first book for any child but even preschoolers will enjoy it.

I Feel Happy Slide and See (Little Learners)

Teach your little one about feelings with this sturdy board book featuring bright, interactive slide out tabs to help children learn hand-eye coordination, first words, and knowledge about the world around them.  Friendly, colorful animal characters greet children on every page, and kids will love to slide out the tabs to reveal more fun. Ideal for ages 1+.
The Little Learners baby and toddler series is fun, engaging, and research-supported. Each book is designed especially to help babies.

My Thoughts

All kids love slider books and this one is tons of fun. Every page shows a different little animal including bears cats, turtles and pigs to name just a few. Each one talks about a few different emotions, like feeling happy when they're with their family or sad when they have to say goodbye to someone they love. The fun part for toddlers is being able to pull out the tabs and see new scenes with their favorite animals. My son loved the bright illustrations and reading this book is helping him understand his feelings a little better.

These are just a few examples of the fun books you can find at Parragaon Books. For more great titles for your kids, be sure to visit the Parragon website or connect with them via social media.
