Easter Gifts for Teens and Tweens from Goody

It's easy to find Easter gifts for the little kids. The older ones present a little more of a challenge. My teen daughter doesn't want candy or toys, but she does love beauty products and hair accessories. In this area, Goody has you covered.  They have a wide range of accessories that girls of all ages will love. Best of all, you can find them in stores nationwide like Kmart, Target, and CVS. So even if you waited until the last minute, you can still grab some of these awesome products.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Goody Clean Radiance Brush - This brush removes knots from hair like magic. It doesn't matter if your hair is curly or straight, thick or thin. This brush can handle anything, and the thick sturdy handle is going to last for years to come. The cooper bristles add extra shine to your  hair.

Elastics- You can never have too many of these! For my girls, they are great for the bottom on their braids because they hold even fine hair in place.

Comb & Lift - These cute little combs are perfect for teasing and styling your hair. On the other end is a pick to help add some thickness.

Simple Style Sets- My teen daughter was really thrilled with these. They enable you to create styles like the Bubble Pony Tail, Fishtails, and Vintage Twists in three simple steps. They come in colors that match your natural hair color so the pieces blend in. They are not only perfect for basket stuffers, they are also a great idea for the upcoming prom season.

Charmed Bobbies- These adorable bobby pins add a touch of glam to any ensemble. They also offer cute bobby pin slides with pearls.

Hair Tie Bracelets- These are such great idea! I always worry about my girls putting hair ties on their arms and cutting off their circulation. With these trendy bracelets, they can have a hair tie with them at all times, right on a pretty bangle bracelet.

Scrunchies- These never go out of style and every girl can always use a few  more. The pretty spring collection is perfect for Easter baskets.

These are only a few examples of the adorable products you can use to make Easter fun for your teens. To learn more about these products and all the trendy styles available at Goody, be sure to visit their website or follow them on social media.

My Thoughts

Lil" Butters are adorable little action figures perfect for tween girls who are getting too big for baby dolls, but aren't quite ready to give up toys altogether. These adorable figures are packed with unique personalities that come shining through. Each one is a butterfly and their wings and facial expressions will help you understand their personalities even before you read the descriptions.

My daughter picked out Lovey Dovey. This Lil' Butter is all about love and is a great choice for a last minute Valentine's Day gift. Her eyes are heart-shaped and her wings are covered with symbols and words of love. They figures are one piece so you don't have to worry about losing any pieces. They are also  free-standing so you can use them to play with or simply use them as a display piece. Either way it's tons of fun to pick out a Lil" Butter that matches your personality. Here are a few more from the line.

Tween Seat Belt PSA

Got Tweens? They aren’t little kids anymore and want to be treated differently. But here’s one rule that should not be up for debate – the car doesn’t move until everyone is wearing a seat belt. I have this rule with my children. We say it and buckle up ourselves and our kids have to buckle up. And if they don’t, that’s a fight worth having. It might just save your tween’s life. The MiniVan Should Not Be a Battlefield – Buckle Up for Tween Seat Safety #KidsBuckleUp

Did you know that one child passenger age 8 – 14 is injured every 8 minutes in a car crash? From 2009 – 2013, 1,522 kids ages 8-14 died in car, SUV and van crashes. Of those who died, almost half were unbelted. As children get older they’re sometimes less likely to buckle up. The percentage of child passengers who die while riding unrestrained generally increases with age and is most pronounced among 13 and 14-year-olds regardless of seating position.
The MiniVan Should Not Be a Battlefield – Buckle Up for Tween Seat Safety #KidsBuckleUp
Check out this Battlefield MiniVan Video: Buckling-up is an important habit to instill in children at a young age. Parents can lead by example by wearing a seat belt themselves and by insisting on seat belt use for every passenger in their vehicle. Seat belts and safety seats, if used correctly, dramatically reduce the risk of fatality or injury to children. The line that will be at Costco:

My Thoughts:
I'm an active person and I can be found most days in my own active wear. My daughter was thrilled when she got to try out some "workout" clothes like mine. This set was adorable. The colors were vibrant.

My daughter found the material to be very soft and easy to move around in. She loved it so much and the comfort of the outfit, she wore it to bed that night and said she slept great. Since receiving this, each time it's clean, she'd got it on.

I didn't notice any shrinkage after it was washed. It still fit and hugged her skin the same way. I found the quality of the clothing to be great. No stitching was off and the size seemed to match up to what I was buying her in clothes previously. She's 8 in this photo and wearing a size 9/10. I was glad I went with that size. The top was a little lose and the built in sports bra does little for her at this time of her life, but I'm sure of the older girls who are beginning to develop, this is something they'll be pleased with.

I was very happy with this product, and I would purchase this again for my daughter.

Easter Gift Guide - Wicked Crown Hair Color Chalks

My teenage kids has been begging to dye their hair, but I had concerns. I know from experience how color can damage your hair, but at least I am dying mine back to my natural color. They wanted to dye their hair crazy colors, and I was worried they'd hate it after it was done and there would be no going back. Their beautiful, healthy hair would be ruined. Wicked Crown Hair Color Chalks offered a different option, one that's temporary and that makes a great Easter basket stuffer for teens and tweens.

Hair Color Chalks, as their name implies, are sticks of  "chalk" that you use to color your hair safely and easily. All you have to do is moisten a section of your hair, and apply the chalk in downward strokes. Its just like coloring, only you're doing in on your hair instead of paper. You can color as much or as little as you want.  Color a few strips or dye your whole head! Use one color at a time or mix and match them. Simply let it dry or use a curling iron to get the color to really lock in.

This past week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day, and my son decided to make it extra special. He used the green chalk and colored his whole head! All his friends and teachers thought it looked amazing, and the color lasted all day, though it did run a little when he got sweaty. Once he got home, he washed and conditioned and his hair was back to its normal blonde. Even after coloring his whole head, we barely made a dent in the green chalk.

My teen daughter was also excited to try the chalks, but for her, it didn't work quite as well.  Her hair is darker than my son's. He's blonde, and her hair is medium brown.   The light colors show up a little bit, but its not very noticeable. It's definitely better for lighter colored hair.

Wicked Crown Hair Color Chalks come in twelve funky colors including pink, black, purple, yellow, orange, red, blue, brown, green and more. They're a fun way to make a statement without fear. To learn more about this exciting product, you can visit the Lashem website.  Lashem is available in countries all around the world at stores like Nordstrom.com, Walgreens.com, Beauty.com, and Pharmasave in Canada, and other beauty supply stores around the world, as well as on www.lashem.com.

Bo-Po - Brush On Peel Off Nail Polish

Worx Toys is bringing back the memories and the fun of Bo-Po peel off nail polish that was originally made popular in the 80s.

Now, the little girls who grew up with these toys are now parents and can create new memories with their kids of painting their nails, then peeling it off to start again with the new and improved Bo-Po nail polish.

Reformulated to meet today's stringent safest standards, Bo-Po nail plush brushes on and peels off in seconds to start fresh again and again.

Available in 10 vibrant colors to match every mood and style, the new Bo-Po features a sweet vanilla smell and a spill-proof bottle which is perfect for little hands playing beauty shop, pop star, or dressing up for a special outing.  And the best part of Bo-Po is that it is non-toxic without harsh smelling chemicals, and kids can simply peel off the polish without the need of any acetone which can damage nails.

My Thoughts

My girls already loved to paint heir nails, but Bo-Po Nail Polish makes it even more fun for them. Bo-Po offer a unique formula that dries super fast and can peel off. This eliminates  the need for chemical removers and also makes it easy to keep your nails fresh painted at all times.

I have two daughters. One is four and one is thirteen and they both loved this nail polish. It comes in fun colors like Razzmatazz and Cotton Candy. There are ten colors in all, and all have tween and teen appeal. It goes on smooth without any bumps and look great once it dries. Even though it peels easily, it will last for at least a day or two without chipping. Once they were ready to remove it, they loved how it peeled right off.

Bo-Po nail polish makes painting nails fun! It's great for girls at slumber parties and the colors appeal to kids of all ages. I remember using this polish myself back in the 80's, and it's great being able to share an old favorite with my children. It brings back memories for me and it's making new memories for my girls.

These parent-approved products are great gifts for girls, can be used to play "dress up" and for sleepover party fun! Here are the tips on how to use them:

My Thoughts

Its not easy being a tween--stuck somewhere between being being a little girl and a teenager. My daughter usually has a hard time finding make-up that is appropriate  for her age group, but EyeDoll has the perfect cosmetics for young girls. We were lucky enough to receive a few products to try out, and my tween was thrilled. The two items Gabby sampled were the American EyeDoll Eye Shadow and the Hello Kissy Lip Gloss. Each set comes with six adorable color pallettes, each in their own little container so colors won't get mixed up. They also come with their own applicators for easy applying.

Each of the eye shadows are lightly colored with a delightful shimmer. They give young girls the little bit of color they crave to enhance their eyes without making them look painted.  They brush on easily and last for several hours at a time. But the thing that my daughter liked the best was the fact that they each had their own corresponding scents like bubblegum and pomegranate.  You can wear them alone or combine colors for effect. The box even includes some fun ideas for slumber parties.

The lip glosses are just as much fun. There are three flavored lip treats that include root beer, chocolate and raspberry that go one clear. Wear them alone or mix them with the colored glosses. They add a hint of color, but again, its modest and not too much for younger girls. These cosmetics are the perfect way to introduce tweens to makeup without overdoing it. Kids will love the sparkling colors and yummy scents, and you will love that they still look like your little girl when they're wearing it.
