Simply put, senior pets are smarter than their younger counterparts. Yet, senior dogs only have a 25% adoption rate compared to the 60% adoption rate of younger dogs and puppies.

Splash Into Summer with Chewy

This month, Chewy has rolled out a whole new lineup of treats that will keep your gets happy all summer long. Whether you want to keep their teeth shiny or indulge in a game of tug 'o war, they have what you're looking pup.

It so nice to find a dental chew that is made with natural ingredients. These tasty treats are a combination of pumpkin, chicken meat, and papaya. They not only keep your dog's smile bright, they also freshen their breath.

 I have a Golden Retriever and the size was just right for her. She is an older dog, but had no issues chewing them.  They smell like human jerky when you open the bag, and my girl gobbled them right up. They are also grain free, and come in a nice resealable bag.

Another item that pets are sure to love is the KONG Squeezz Ball with Handle Dog Toy. There are several of these toys available in a variety of shapes and sizes. The rope of this toy is really sturdy. Normally, my dog will chew through the rope in a day, but we've had it a week and it's still in great condition. There is a thick ring with a squeaker that the dog will love to carry and chew, and a handle on the other end that makes it easier to play a round of Tug 'o War. The toy is just the right size for my Golden Retriever, but its small enough for medium-sized dogs as well.

NEW Treats at Chewy!

Whether you have a dog or a cat, Chewy is your one stop shop for all your pet care needs. I live in a little tourist town, so I don't have many options when its time to get treats for my pets. Luckily, Chewy has something to suit any animal's palette. They even have treats that both cats & dogs can enjoy. This month, we got to test out the WISHES Icelandic Haddock Fillets from The Honest Kitchen. This is a brand new addition to Chewy, and a really fantastic choice, because it's a yummy treat that both cats and dogs will enjoy.

The WISHES fillets are made with only one pristine ingredient--dehydrated haddock, and its a delicious snack both my pets enjoyed. As soon as you open the box, you get a whiff of good, all natural fish. My pets both came running for them.

The snacks are in long strips, which my Golden Retriever munched right up. She's never had fish treats before, but since we've just discovered she's allergic to beef, this was a great alternative.

For my cat, I had to break the pieces up a little, but he was just as impressed. I had two very happy four-legged friends this week who got to be extra spoiled thanks to Chewy.
