My Thoughts

Seachange centers around a woman named Laura Gibson. She's struggling to find her way after losing her job and her husband. She decides to get back in touch with her daughter in a little seaside village.  When the classic down is threatened, Laura will fight to save it. There are eight episodes in this first season.

Come unto These Yellow Sands - Laura is fired from her job in Africa, and returns to her home to discover her daughter Miranda is pregnant. A shady businessman named Bob is also released from prison.

By Moonshine - Laura babysits for Anna until she's called in for magistrate duty. Miranda warns her rival about the "shimmery moon."

A Monstrous Lie - Miranda's half-sister shows up. Miranda doesn't want Laura to tel him about Joe.

There are Unicorns - One of Bob's prison buddies come down. A rare seahorse could help save the town.

Awake, Dear Heart, Awake - Everyone prepares for a surprise wedding. Pub-owner Ben is envious of his ex's boyfriend's beer.

Strange Fish - The Fishing Club president goes missing. Legal problems leave the anglers in debt.

This Island Home - Bob buys a caravan park and starts evicting people. Miranda wants to buy the marine center.

Our Little Life - Jules comes in and makes trouble. Laura, Miranda & Bob join forces.

This is a great drama series. There are many touching family moments, but also some humor and mystery. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out in the second season.  If you want to purchase a copy of this DVD, you can find it on Amazon or on Acorn Media.
