DISH Ratings & Reviews Helps You Choose Age-Appropriate TV

***This is a sponsored post***

These days, there are so many different channels and so many television shows, it's hard for a parent to keep up. My kids are always talking about new shows, and half of them I've never heard of. With the ability to watch television on their devices, it's harder than ever to monitor what they watch.  DISH understands the concerns parents have about their children watching age-appropriate television, and they're doing something about it. They've joined forces with Common Sense Media, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization. Common Sense is dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology.

The new rating and reviews feature allows you to access independently conducted age-based ratings and reviews for thousands of titles.  Common Sense Media provides a minimum age rating for each title. Age ratings are followed by a brief overview of what you should know before your children view a TV series or movie. This includes a short analysis of how younger viewers may react to various aspects of a title’s plot and theme. The Parental Guide includes a 0–5 scale, which assesses television across eight different categories, including violence and strong language. To access ratings and reviews, DISHAnywhere.com users can select the newly added Parental Guide page within a program’s profile.  For information on how to access this new feature on DISHAnywhere.com, visit the DISH blog

Now, thanks to DISH, when I hear my kids talking about a show I'm not familiar, I can head straight to the rating and review sections on DISHAnywhere.com and get the scoop.  This is just one more way that DISH provides both entertainment and peace of mind. The new feature is available now on DISHAnywhere.com, and will be coming soon to DISH Anywhere mobile app and your Hopper. For more information or to learn about their packages, visit  Dish.com or subscribe to DISH email alertsAlso be sure to follow them on face book and twitter
