My Thoughts
Homeland is a captivating drama series starring one of my favorite actresses, Claire Danes. We start this season off with Carrie trying to come to terms with Brody's absence, which is especially hard since she's raising his daughter. A way to escape her feelings opens up with an opportunity to head
overseas in Islamabad to investigate a bombing. Here the political drama takes center stage, and I liked that there is less focus on romantic relationships this season. The first few episodes move a little slow, but once you get to episode four there is a big shocker that changes everything. It's hard to say more without spoilers, but it's very intense.
Overall, this was a great season, but I do miss seeing Brody. I still love seeing Claire in action, and this season was packed with action and suspense, but it also seems very realistic. So many shows are over the top, but this one does it's research. Even though the season finale wasn't quite what I was expecting, I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes in season 5.
