Silver Tails Bottoms Up Harness

 Bottoms Up Harness

It is important to continue to get regular exercise with your senior dog. Lack of movement can make pain and stiffness from arthritis worse. Plus, excess weight can put painful pressure on joints. So see your veterinarian and try to incorporate several short walks in your dog’s day. You’ll both benefit!

My Thoughts

My Golden Retriever just turned five this month, but even though she's fairly young, she already suffers from arthritis. Even with her medication, she still has a hard time getting up and down, and sort of drags her rump when she walks. We tried out the Bottoms Up Harness, and this leash has made a big difference for my dog. It really takes some of the strain off her back legs.

I was worried that my dog wouldn't like the harness or would struggle when I tried to get it on her, but it's actually very simple. The part of the leash you hold is attached to  the harness around the dog's rear. This allows you to offer your dog some extra support by holding up their weight for them. With less weight pressing down on their legs, they are able to move more freely.

My dog always loved going for a walk, but ever since we started using the harness, she has enjoyed the exercise even more, and she doesn't tire nearly as quickly. The increased exercise is great for her condition and now even at home when she's not in the harness, I've seen an improvement in how easily she gets around. The Bottoms Up Harness is a wonderful way to improve the quality of life of a dog with arthritis or a pet that is just getting older.

I really like the Silver Tails Bottoms Up Harness. I have 2 dogs, one is a Corgi the other a Labordoodle and he is a bear to walk. This harness would be a great help.

I'll have to tell my sister about this one. She has a big dog.

It's hard to see the picture on the product so I'm hoping it works for bigger dogs. my dad has a German Shepherd with hip problems and if it does it would sure be a blessing.

I think this is neat they have a contest every month for dogs and donate to shelters too. I use a harness on my bichon. He has had both back legs operated on for the knees went out. He has metal plates in both legs. I had another bichon who had the same problem. We had 4 surgeries on their back legs. so expensive!!! Thanks for sharing. Rita Spratlen
