Mommy's Bliss Baby Probiotics Review

Every mom wants the absolute best for their child’s health and she often worries about what unforeseen health challenges lie ahead in a young one’s life. What if chronic health conditions like asthma, peanut allergies, even ADHD could be mitigated with the right blend of probiotic supplements? That is exactly what researchers are finding -- that a child’s temperament, such as aggression, shyness, moodiness-- as serious as major life-altering health conditions, are connected to a specific blend of probiotics and gut health.

In response, the beloved brand Mommy’s Bliss has just launched an amazing new product you and your little one are sure to love, the Mommy’s Bliss Baby Probiotic Drops!  This product is pediatrician-recommended, 100% vegan and vegetarian, and quickly becoming a favorite amongst health-conscious parents. Formulated with non-GMO Corn Oil and the live culture Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG, this new product safely and effectively eases babies’ digestion.

Our Thoughts

Probiotics are great to take whether you're a baby, kid or adult. With how our diets are today, it's important to keep proper gut flora in check so we can stay at our optimum  health. Babies can't swallow pills obviously, so drops are a great alternative! The fact they're GMO free is a huge plus, and being vegan and vegetarian they are safe for any particular lifestyle-diet plan!

I like to give my son a few drops a day (five a day is recommended on the package) as it's just good practice, but when I started these drops my son was in the middle of a cold that he'd had for just over a week. Within two days of giving him the probiotic drops he was completely fine. Not that these are miracle drops, but our gut health is directly related to our overall health so I know it definitely helped my son get over the sniffles he had!

It says to give the drops while at the breast or bottle, but with my son being used to disolvable teething tablets he just opens wide when I ask him if he's ready for his "medicine" so I dropped five drops on his tongue once a day and it was easy as pie. Very easy to give!

Mommy's Bliss also offers many other great items for your baby's care such as Constipation Ease and Upset Tummy & Nausea Relief!

My Thoughts

The All-in-one bottle system is pretty neat. It's really one of those items that grows with child. It begins with bottles that you can use when they are infants. There are handles to add when they can hold the bottle. Sippy cup type nipples, and also straws when child is ready for that.

The first thing I noticed about these was the fact that when using the straw cup, the straw reached the bottle, making sure the child could get each drop. This is a big plus because so many straws don't go to the bottom.

I do not have an infant, so I wasn't able to test this out as far as a bottle and how the nipples work as far as flow. But I do think this concept is really neat and will be keeping it in mind for a baby shower gift in the future for friends.

The Baby Care Set had a great smell to it. From the bottle, it was slightly strong, but once using it, it wasn't as strong. The scent did linger a bit on my childs skin, but that didn't bother me. They had a nice clean scent to them. The shampoo/body wash didn't leave any residue on the skin and the hair was noticeably clean after it was dry.

The lotion in the set was thin, but not watery. It rubbed easily onto the skin and absorbed quickly. It left a very soft feeling. This was a great set and I liked how safe the products were. I felt safe putting them on my child.

Our Thoughts
I've used sea sponges for years for crafty purposes but have been wanting to try one for bathing!  The Baby Buddy Natural Sea Sponge is unbelievably soft, quite unlike the rougher ones I have for crafts.

My son thought it was pretty neat, and our dog sure was interested in it!  The Baby Buddy Natural Sea Sponge is so soft, I can easily see how perfect it is for infants; I wish I'd had one when my son was that small!  We've been using a regular sponge for his baths.

Maybe it's our hard water, but the sponge didn't lather up as well as I thought it would.  After I gave my son a bath, I tried it out for my own shower.  I really thought I'd get piles of fluffy lather like I do with my own bath pouf, but it just didn't lather much at all.  It did rinse very easily, which is a plus!  It's a little too soft for my personal liking, but my son liked it!  I'd definitely recommend the Baby Buddy Natural Sea Sponge for infants!

Baby Trend Inertia Car Seat - Review

**Product was received in exchange for a honest review!**

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a superhero!

Who wouldn’t want to have super powers? Invisibility, flying, x-ray vision, they all sound great! For a parent however, one of the best super powers would be the ability to protect their child. Whether you are on a cross country road trip or just getting from point A to point B there is no need to call for help.

Baby Trend released the Inertia car seat that features super technology that makes it easy to keep your child safe and comfortable.  Using LATCH connectors the Inertia eliminates complications and the worry of proper installation; you simply click the seats stay-in-car base into the vehicle anchors, push onto the brace and rear of the car seat to tighten into the vehicle and tighten the brace ratchets. This and other great features make the Inertia an excellent back seat hero.

Our Thoughts

After having 4 children you get to a point where you use the car seat that is safe but least expensive and it's not always comfortable for the kiddo. We had been looking at a new car seat for Mackenzie but when she came about two weeks before her due date, we didn't have a choice but to use the car seat Merrick had been in a few years back. I can remember with the old car seat that Merrick would start fussing about an hour into a trip. We used to have to stop and adjust him and figure out what the problem was. He was just not comfortable in the seat. Well, Mackenzie ended up not being comfortable in the car seat either. We had made a trip to the cabin when she was two weeks old, an hour into the trip we were stopping and adjusting her, trying to nurse her and trouble shooting problems.

I was über excited when the opportunity came up to be able to review the Inertia. I've always heard good things about Baby Trend, their seats, their strollers... You name it and if it's Baby Trend brand, I've heard only good things!  The second the car seat arrived on my door step, I took it out of the box and started figuring out what I needed to do to set it up for Mackenzie. It didn't take too long because I didn't have to do anything. It was ready for her to be set in and installed in my Envoy. Even if we would've needed to move the straps higher it would've just taken a turn or two of the adjuster knob on the back of the seat itself. I don't know of any other car seat that is THAT easy to get ready for baby!

Inertia Seat
Inertia Base

As soon as my hubby got home, I had him install the base to the seat in our Envoy. It was as simple as could be too!  He got the one side of the base clipped to the latch anchors in the seat and was easily able to quickly get the other side latched too! Pushing back the handle on the base, we were ready to load Mackenzie and go. Very, very, very simple!

Mackenzie in her new seat for the first time.
We didn't have any long trips to the cabin planned but we noticed that Mackenzie didn't fuss when we put her in the car seat from the beginning! She seemed to enjoy the seat unlike the old car seat. But just this past weekend we gave the seat the true test. We headed to the cabin!  The cabin is about a two to two and a half hour drive north of us. That is a really long time for an infant or any child to be in a car seat. Heck, I even get antsy to get out of the truck by the time we get there. This time though, Mackenzie SLEPT the whole trip up to the cabin! She was actually a HAPPY baby when we took her out of her seat! She loves the seat!

I would recommend this seat to anyone in need of a new infant seat. It's easy to install, it's comfortable for baby and the best is that it's not very expensive.

Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water - Review

***Product was received in exchange for an honest review***

Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water

Being a vegetarian mom can be tough when you don’t know what’s in the products you’re feeding your babies. Mommy's Bliss, a provider of safe, effective and natural premium-quality products for families, soothes tummy aches with its vegan Gripe Water. Ideal for relieving gas and stomach discomfort often associated with colic, hiccups and teething; this all-natural herbal supplement is available in both Original and Apple flavors. Containing no alcohol, chemicals, parabens or artificial flavors, it is 100% vegetarian and vegan; so vegetarian moms out there can rest easy knowing they’re not purchasing something made from animal products. Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water is available for purchase at nationwide retailers including Walgreens, Rite Aid and Wal-Mart for $11.99.

Our Thoughts

I was introduced to Gripe Water when my five-year-old was a baby. He had awful hiccups constantly. The only place that I could find Gripe Water back in 2007 was at the local natural foods store and at the time we were going through the bottles like, well - water! Like I said, Bryce had horrible hiccups. They would get so bad that he hurt and would cry every time he had them. No fun for him and no fun for us.

When Mackenzie was born just three short weeks ago I had been planning my last minute pick ups list and Gripe Water had been one of the items I needed. After Bryce had the hiccups as badly as he did I've made it a rule that we have it on hand even if we never need it. Thankfully Merrick (my three-year-old) didn't need it but I learned quickly that Mackenzie was like Bryce. The offer to review Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water came at the most opportune time!

I honestly cannot tell you how much I absolutely LOVE Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water. We've used it for hiccups, fussy baby and even to help with tummy gas. It doesn't take long to take effect and start working! Right before I started to write this review we had a VERY cranky girl. Wether it was due to a little tummy gas or overstimulation, who knows but just a little bit (2.5 ml) of Gripe Water did the trick. She's now contently laying on the nursing pillow in my lap TRYING her very best not to fall asleep. I seriously recommend having Gripe Water on hand to every one of my friends or family members with babies! It's definitely worth having!
