Graco Argos 80 Elite--Review

The Argos™ 80 Elite Car Seat (Available at Babies “R” Us, buybuy Baby, and specialty stores) is an advanced 3-in-1 car seat, featuring the Simply Safe Adjust™ Harness System, will keep your child harnessed for up to 80 lbs. and coverts to a booster seat up to 120 lbs. for years of use.

The world of baby gear has changed drastically over the last few years.  Parents want convenience, functionality and economically priced products that will last. That's where Graco comes in.
Graco had been around for decades and they manage to evolved and stay with the times seamlessly.  When my oldest was born most everything we had was Graco. The catch was none years ago the industry was just exploring the newest and best.

From convertible car seats that allow extended rear facing and forward facing to the Graco Argos 80 that is a three in one forward facing booster parents have more options to fit their needs.

The Argos 80 is by far my favorite forward facing seat.  It only requires one step for set up, simply snap the back into place,  and it's ready for installation. Using the seat belt or Latch system you can easily and quickly have this in and ready in just about ten minutes. You can adjust the built in harness more efficiently thanks to the button betting on the top of the seat.  A push of the red button and all that's left is to pull up on the back to raise the shoulder straps.

The five point harness is easily adjustable and holds children safely from twenty to eighty pounds,  twenty-seven to fifty-two inches tall,  and at least one year of age. When using the vehicle seat belt child misery be thirty to one hundred pounds, thirty-eight to fifty-seven inches tall and between the ages of three to ten. The last way to use this particular model is by removing the back.  Being just a booster seat your child can use this up to one hundred and twenty pounds,  fifty-seven inches tall and ages four to ten.

The removal of the built in harness and back are easy.  The instructions are clear and simple to follow. Please remember when using any car seat to have it installed properly and to follow all requirements.

The downside to the seat is that it's heavier than I anticipated. This isn't a deal breaker,  just cumbersome. The only other thing I noticed is that to get a child in and out is a chore if said child wants to be ornery.
There are several compartments to put things and the cup holder is nice and big. This is fantastic as you can accommodate almost any size cup.

My daughter despises riding in the vehicle.  We have another seat in my husband's truck and after using the Graco Argos 80, it's clear that she prefers it over the other one. There's enough cushion that she isn't screaming to get out within ten minutes.

Graco has many more great products, like high chairs, strollers, play yards and more! Be sure to consider them for all your baby gear needs!

ro.sham.bo baby Sunglasses Review

About ro.sham.bo baby:
ro•sham•bo baby is owned and operated by san diego family scott, julia and their 6 month old baby avery. we started our little company after realizing that nobody was making high quality, stylish baby sunglasses while at a baseball game with a friend’s newborn. scott put his adult sunglasses on him and lightening struck. 2 years later, we had the world’s best baby sunglasses ready for your little one and ours!
we launched in june 2013 with a crowdfunding campaign to test our market and build up needed capital to fund more inventory and build this website. the result was overwhelming and the customer support and glowing feedback we received further fueled our ambition to make this dream a reality.    --From ro.sham.bo baby
Our Thoughts:
There isn't anything much cuter than a baby in sunglasses! I adore these sweet glasses for my baby girl! ro.sham.bo baby has done an incredible job creating quality sunglasses that are trendy and protect baby's eyes from the sun.
I simply cannot get enough of seeing all the cute colors they've come up with, and the names! The ones pictures on my baby are called, "Ice, Ice Baby." There are so many more, Bueller (black), Zack Morris (light blue), 90210 (teal and white), etc. What a neat concept to name them after some of the biggest names in the late 80's and 90's pop culture genre!
Let's talk about tearing them up. You can't! Simply put, they are made like baby teethers. BPA and phthalate free, these are safe for chewing, and bending. See below for video on how durable they are!

Priced very economically, you can easily afford to buy more than one pair for your special baby! They are great for babies 0-18 months, and depending on head size can easily fit a two year old! Each purchase supports the Autism Research Institute, and they offer a damage and lens replacement guarantee. So, you are getting a great quality product made by people who care and want to give back! I cannot wait to buy another pair for my daughter, and maybe a couple more for friends!

Boba: Review and Giveaway

Who wants to carry their baby all the time? You'll spoil your kid. You'll have a bad back, carrying your child will only hurt your shoulders. Do these sayings sound familiar? If so, has it stopped you from doing research to find that there are great baby carriers out there, that WON'T hurt your back or shoulders? You may even find out that wearing your baby, in fact, will not spoil them, but will make them calmer and more independent later down the road.
If you think carriers are expensive, well, they are. But, you pay for quality. And as a mom who didn't have a quality carrier with my first, I would definitely pay for a more expensive carrier to have the quality and comfort that Boba offers. Pricing isn't as important when you look at the grand scheme of things. I can wear my daughter in this carrier even when she is a toddler. Newborn to toddler is enough of a reason for me to pay for a well made carrier.
How long can you wear a baby before you get uncomfortable? I suppose that would depend on the parent and child. My daughter is six months old and twenty pounds. I have worn her for several hours in the Boba and haven't had any issues. Sure, I get tired, but I have a twenty pound kid! Ultimately, you have to decide how long is too long to wear your baby.
The makers left nothing out! There are step-by-step instructions on how to put the carrier on and adjust. They included pamphlets on baby wearing and what it helps establish, as well as a safety guide. The carrier looks overwhelming at first. But once you read the instructions and watch the video's provided on Boba's website, it's easy as pie!

I love how simple it is to adjust! It really is as  easy as pulling on the straps. I honestly thought when I first was playing around with it that it couldn't possibly be that easy, I was wrong. Anyone, young or old, can figure this carrier out with minimal issue. It fits not only me, but my husband, and our eight year old son!
Let's talk extras and perks. You want a place for your cell phone? Done! What about a rain cover for baby? Got it. There really isn't anything they didn't think of. Busy moms everywhere will love all the features of this carrier. It even has a snap on the shoulders for your purse!
Carrying an older child is easy too. Their legs may get tired of hanging. No problem! The Boba carrier has foot straps! This comes in great to keep your little ones legs and hips aligned. Do they not like the front carry? No worries, you can back carry your older kiddo's no problem!
Another great feature is the cushion for newborns that snaps in. It has two ways to wear it. You can fold it in half to snap or leave it open. There are so many features to the Boba, that I was really impressed with how user friendly everything is!
If I had to pick just one piece of baby gear that I couldn't live without, it would be my Boba 4G carrier! My daughter loves it, I love it, and it helps that everyone we see asks about it! A huge thank you to the people over at Boba for providing me with their product for review! I am in love with the ease and functionality that is provided every time I wear it.

Infantino's Neoprene Necessities Line: Review/Giveaway

A little about Infantino's new line:
Infantino knows that whether you’re running out the door for a quick errand or traveling for a month to Europe, venturing out into the world with baby offers the same challenges: how to stay safe, happy and comfy without getting weighed down by a ton of stuff?
That’s why they've created a line of modern travel accessories that are functional and stylish to boot. Thanks to the Neoprene Necessities™ stretchability factor, these products will, quite amazingly, stretch-to-fit pretty much any and every size and shape of baby gear. The wipeable neoprene fabric cleans in an instant or pops into the washer with no special fuss. It’s cushy, comfy, and fun for little hands to grip and tug. Did they mention water-resistant? (And milk, juice and smoothie resistant?) Yep, and all these must-haves are stylishly designed to match your sense of style.
Happy Hold: Modern, lightweight material provides cushioning when carrying an infant car seat. Admittedly car seats are not the easiest things to tote around, especially as baby grows. Our Neoprene cushioning softens the stress on hands and arms when carrying a car seat. $9.99
My Thoughts: Carrying a car seat is difficult to begin with. Let's face it, it's just not comfortable! Add a 20 pound six month old, and it's even worse. I love the Happy Hold! It has a couple of loops for toys, velcro's on, and it's washable! The best part though? It's super cushy, and you don't feel like your arm is going to fall off!

Hold It: Modern, lightweight material stretches to fit most bottles and insulates without the bulk. Neoprene’s stretch factor let’s mom slip baby’s bottle (or maybe their own beverage) into this slick & cool sleeve. This magic fabric is nice to hold and if you choose not to, it tucks easily into a diaper bag and also attaches on diaper bag straps and stroller handles with a snap! Machine washable. $5.99
My Thoughts: This works out wonderfully for a water bottle or baby bottle! If you're a nursing mom like me, a bottle may not be an option, but a water bottle for you? Perfect! It's a handy tool to keep your water close at hand, and cool when taking a walk in the warm sunshine! If you happen to have a toddler, this is nice too, for them, as they have their water handy and close at all times!

Roomy: Modern, lightweight material stretches to organize and insulate backseat necessities. Imagine everything mom might need at a moments notice neatly organized right behind the driver or passenger’s seat. Roomy™ lets you fill -up with cups, diapers, wipes, and whatever else you might need. Thanks to Neoprene’s innate stretch factor and insulation properties – our back seat organizer is the most flexible and functional fit for any mom. Machine washable. $19.99
My Thoughts: Alright, I have two kids. My eight year old and my six month old. An organizer is the best invention, EVER! Between my son and his drinks, books, toys, etc. and, now the baby's toys. . . You will never find my truck without this item! It holds the perfect amount of things and it's all accessible!
Slim Neoprene Shopping Cart Cover: Modern lightweight material offers dense cushioning and germ-defying protection without the bulk. $29.99
My Thoughts: Shopping carts have always been a challenge for me. I'm not a germaphobic, but I don't like my baby chewing on the bars and such. Not to mention she could get her fingers/hand caught in the slats. I love that this is so multi-functional that you can use it for the shopping cart and turn around and use it as a play mat! Cushioned, baby never has to worry about being uncomfortable while shopping!
Stroll Case: Modern, lightweight material stretches-to-fit most smartphones and dense cushioning helps protect it. Simply pop in your phone, strap it to your stroller or shopping cart handle and go! $5.99
My Thoughts: Pushing baby in a stroller you don't have a lot of room to store items. Sometimes your phone rings and you can't get to it for all the stuff in the diaper bag, or you don't hear it because it's locked away somewhere. The Stroll Case is perfect because you can attach it right to the handle of the stroller and never have to miss a phone call!
Stuff It: Modern, lightweight material offers stretch-to-fit storage and dense cushioning without the bulk. The stretch of Neoprene allows mom to stuff a lot into a small, cute clutch. Holds a changing pad (included), wipes case and diapers. Machine washable. $24.99
My Thoughts: I don't like to carry a whole lot in the diaper bag; but a baby requires a lot of things. Now that she's older my bag is packed full of toys, diapers, etc. Sometimes, I don't want to cart the entire bag into the store, or someone's house. The Stuff It makes this so easy. I can leave it in the vehicle and grab it and take it in and not pack around 10 extra pounds of diaper bag unnecessarily. Going for a walk around the neighborhood? Don't cart the whole bag, your Stuff It is enough!
Tote It: Modern, lightweight material stretches to fit 2 bottles and insulates without the bulk. The convenient strap allows for fast adjustment and easy attachment to diaper bags & strollers. Water resistant and machine washable. $12.99
My Thoughts: This is just a larger version of the Hold It. And for bottle feeding mommas this is an amazing thing. Insulated, and compact, you aren't having to worry about bulky loose in the bag bottles. Keep them together and cool/ warm without worrying about where they're at!
Wipes Out: Modern, lightweight material stretches to hold any pack of wipes. You can never have enough wipes and we’ve made it easier to have them close at hand or in arms reach. Attaches easily to headrests and stroller bars. Machine washable. $12.99
My Thoughts: I love the idea of having wipes at your disposal no matter where you're at. With Wipes Out, you can hang them on the diaper bag, stroller, etc. and have them handy at all times! Washable, and trendy, you'll never go wrong with having the Wipes Out strapped on!

Baby Trend Inertia Car Seat - Review

**Product was received in exchange for a honest review!**

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a superhero!

Who wouldn’t want to have super powers? Invisibility, flying, x-ray vision, they all sound great! For a parent however, one of the best super powers would be the ability to protect their child. Whether you are on a cross country road trip or just getting from point A to point B there is no need to call for help.

Baby Trend released the Inertia car seat that features super technology that makes it easy to keep your child safe and comfortable.  Using LATCH connectors the Inertia eliminates complications and the worry of proper installation; you simply click the seats stay-in-car base into the vehicle anchors, push onto the brace and rear of the car seat to tighten into the vehicle and tighten the brace ratchets. This and other great features make the Inertia an excellent back seat hero.

Visit the Baby Trend website and check out the Inertia! Click here for the Inertia Car Seat

Our Thoughts

After having 4 children you get to a point where you use the car seat that is safe but least expensive and it's not always comfortable for the kiddo. We had been looking at a new car seat for Mackenzie but when she came about two weeks before her due date, we didn't have a choice but to use the car seat Merrick had been in a few years back. I can remember with the old car seat that Merrick would start fussing about an hour into a trip. We used to have to stop and adjust him and figure out what the problem was. He was just not comfortable in the seat. Well, Mackenzie ended up not being comfortable in the car seat either. We had made a trip to the cabin when she was two weeks old, an hour into the trip we were stopping and adjusting her, trying to nurse her and trouble shooting problems.

I was über excited when the opportunity came up to be able to review the Inertia. I've always heard good things about Baby Trend, their seats, their strollers... You name it and if it's Baby Trend brand, I've heard only good things!  The second the car seat arrived on my door step, I took it out of the box and started figuring out what I needed to do to set it up for Mackenzie. It didn't take too long because I didn't have to do anything. It was ready for her to be set in and installed in my Envoy. Even if we would've needed to move the straps higher it would've just taken a turn or two of the adjuster knob on the back of the seat itself. I don't know of any other car seat that is THAT easy to get ready for baby!

Inertia Seat
Inertia Base

As soon as my hubby got home, I had him install the base to the seat in our Envoy. It was as simple as could be too!  He got the one side of the base clipped to the latch anchors in the seat and was easily able to quickly get the other side latched too! Pushing back the handle on the base, we were ready to load Mackenzie and go. Very, very, very simple!

Mackenzie in her new seat for the first time.
We didn't have any long trips to the cabin planned but we noticed that Mackenzie didn't fuss when we put her in the car seat from the beginning! She seemed to enjoy the seat unlike the old car seat. But just this past weekend we gave the seat the true test. We headed to the cabin!  The cabin is about a two to two and a half hour drive north of us. That is a really long time for an infant or any child to be in a car seat. Heck, I even get antsy to get out of the truck by the time we get there. This time though, Mackenzie SLEPT the whole trip up to the cabin! She was actually a HAPPY baby when we took her out of her seat! She loves the seat!

I would recommend this seat to anyone in need of a new infant seat. It's easy to install, it's comfortable for baby and the best is that it's not very expensive.

Baby Bella Maya Car Seat Cover - New Print Review

**Product was received for an honest review**
Baby Bella Maya
About the Company:

Baby Bella Maya www.BabyBellaMaya.com has cutting edge baby/toddler gear and accessories.  The company was started by Marta Sala-Rothwell, who, after noticing the wear on her Baby Bjorn infant carrier, created a fashionable slip cover to prolong its life.  Everywhere she went people stopped her to ask where she got it.  As an airline pilot and mother of four, she hardly had the time to start a company, but that’s exactly what she did.  Her goal became simple.  She wanted to design cute accessories for stylish infants and toddlers.  Her innovative vision of marrying feminine frill and cutting edge styles, coupled with the country backdrop, has become the perfect recipe for the exciting celebration of a new baby.

Sweet Pea Cover

Peek-a-Blue Cover

Our Thoughts

I absolutely love the car seat cover I received!  It's silky soft and is completely gender neutral!  For this review I was sent the brand new Royal Mist Infant Seat Cover. I can't say enough about it! I love that the matching canopy pulls down further than the original car seat canopy does so that I could protect my newborn easier and fuller from the sun when we were out and about. It's so easy to put on your car seat as there are snaps that allow you to fit the cover without having to remove your car seat straps! That in my book is a HUGE plus because if you're like me, you don't want to remove the straps since it's a pain to get them out and back in. The cover was a bit loose on our car seat but we had a cheaper Evenflo Discovery 5. Now that we have a Baby Trend Inertia, the cover fits wonderfully!  I can't say enough about these covers!  They certainly would make great baby shower gifts for the expectant parents!!
