Santa Fake - Now on DVD and Digital

A classic Christmas movie full of holiday music, sentimental romance, family-friendly comedy, and colorful holiday spirit,  SANTA FAKE brings holiday cheer with top-notch musical numbers and brilliant performances by a delightful cast that will enchant the whole family.

Pat Keeley (Damian McGinty, “Glee;” Celtic Thunder), an undocumented Northern Irish immigrant has made his way to NYC where he is taken in, unwittingly, by a crime boss (John Rhys-Davies). Asked to deliver two mysterious briefcases, naïve Pat in a panic ends up in the wrong destination: Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe gives him a home and a job as the shopping mall Santa Claus, allowing him to hide in plain sight from both the authorities and the gangsters he is trying to evade. As Pat gets wrapped up deeper into the spirit of Christmas and his role as Santa Claus, he finds that the phony white beard and big red suit are more than just a handy disguise, but instead his real destiny.

My Thoughts

Santa Fake is a fun holiday film that centers around a young ran named Pat Keeley who came to American during the to start a new life. While looking for employment, be accidentally gets involved with a New York crime boss which gets him into all sorts of trouble with the law. While out on a mission, he accidentally gets lost and winds up with both the gangsters and police out to get him. To escape them both, he goes undercover as Santa Claus and learns about the true meaning of Christmas.

This is a great movie for the whole family to watch. There are lots of funny moments and a few magical ones as well. It's a little predictable, but it's still a lot of fun and kids are sure to enjoy it. We have actually watched it three times already, and I am quite certain we will be watching it many more times this holiday season. Children of all ages, as well as adults will love this movie and will want to add it to their movie library. Getting so many great films in one set makes these an excellent deal and I'm excited to finally have them on blu-ra.  My mother grew up watching these movies. Later she shared them with me, but we always had to wait for them to come on television. Now my children and I can watch them whenever we like!

DISH Proves that Die Hard is a Christmas Movie

For the past few holiday seasons, one controversial question continues to surface: is Die Hard a Christmas movie? Today, DISH is taking an official stance to help settle the debate. Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie, and in celebration of this fact, DISH is gifting customers access to this hotly-debated Christmas classic. In what the company has coined the "12 Days of Die Hard," customers can watch Die Hard on-demand beginning today through Tuesday, Dec. 26. Yippee-ki-yay, movie lovers.

Based on DISH anonymized bulk viewership behavior, extrapolated to the U.S. population, here's what was discovered:

• Last Christmas Eve, 1.3 million people watched Die Hard, with 2.4 millionviewing the movie at some point during the holiday season. This number jumps to 4.3 million if you count Die Hard 2, which is also a Christmas movie.
• Die Hard was the 10th most-watched movie last Christmas Eve, meaning that more Americans watched Die Hard than holiday-favorites, Miracle on 34thStreet, Home Alone and The Santa Clause.

DISH first helped to fuel this seasonal pop culture debate with the November 2017 release of its TV spot, "Santa." In the spot, Santa Claus uses DISH's new voice remote to quickly find his favorite Christmas movie, Die Hard. The new DISH voice remote interprets natural language to generate and select content, and is available to all new Hopper customers at no additional cost. 

The "12 Days of Die Hard" runs on DISH from Dec.15-26. To access the Die Hard VOD, an Internet-connected set-top box is required.
