Get Tickled to Death FREE before Last Laugh is Released!

Crime was yesterday’s kink… until it came crawling back.

Former paralegal Rhonda Campbell left the law behind when she swapped legal pads for latex. Now, as Mistress Kali, she runs the most exclusive BDSM dungeon in Atlantic City, where pleasure pays the bills and fantasy is always in play—until a longtime client is smothered with a French tickler. Talk about a safe word fail.

Enter newly relocated Detective Jason Dee, fresh off the gritty streets of Philly and itching for a real case—because so far, New Jersey’s biggest offense seems to be overpriced cocktails. When he finally lands a murder investigation, his prime suspect is a whip-smart, leather-clad domme who’s as infuriating as she is intriguing.

With a killer on the loose and tensions rising, Rhonda and Jason must combine their expertise in sex and homicide to crack the case—before another victim is tickled to death.

At Bayside Women’s Correctional Facility, justice isn’t just blind. It’s bound, gagged, and begging for mercy.

Rhonda Campbell thought she flogged her last case with the Atlantic City Police, but when an inmate turns up dead with telltale suspension marks, the cops come calling again. With the murder pointing to kink, coverups, and dirty power plays, Rhonda agrees to go undercover behind bars, where the guards are shady, the gangs are mean, and the jumpsuits are definitely not her color.

Meanwhile, Detective Jason Dee’s been reassigned from homicide to handling crop-wielding dominas and wayward subs. While Rhonda plays prisoner, he and his partner are stuck guarding the Dungeon. His feelings for Mistress Kali are as complex as her contract negotiations and just as dangerous, but when the prison gig needs a visitor with street cred, Jason’s all in, even if playing her pimp means risking more than just his dignity.

With lives on the line and secrets tightening like a velvet cuff, Rhonda and Jason need to blow the whistle on this prison scandal before another girl ends up permanently suspended.

At Jester’s Landing, the rides aren’t the only things that’ll make you scream.

When Atlantic City’s most notorious clown fetishist turns up dead minus his head, suspicion falls on his favorite dominatrix. Especially after he cuts his bitter family out of the will and leaves her his entire fortune.

Head domme Rhonda Campbell, aka Mistress Kali, refuses to let her friend take a flogging for a murder she didn’t commit. She dives into a case where the scandals are stickier than cotton candy and the suspects are strapped to their own emotional roller coasters.

After a month working security at D.O.M.M.E., LLC, Detective Jason Dee thought he’d seen every kink in the carnival, but this investigation tests his limits. Between wrangling his partner’s clown phobia, surviving the Dungeon’s circus-themed fundraiser, and keeping his feelings for Rhonda on a short leash, he’s juggling more than evidence. He’s trying to catch a killer determined to get the last laugh.

Tickled to Death: AI Image Bloopers and Kinky Chaos

I was on the fence about using AI to create images, but I figured as long as it’s just for fun and not part of the official novel, what could possibly go wrong? Spoiler alert: a lot. Apparently, AI has its own idea of what "realistic" looks like—and sometimes it’s completely off the rails. I had no idea how many “What even is this?” moments I’d have. Here are some of my favorite AI bloopers that had me and my editor Anne cracking up—and let’s be honest, a blooper reel seemed like a very necessary evil. So, without further ado, here are the most insane AI creations that came out while I was trying to bring the cops, dommes, and suspects of Tickled to Death to life. Prepare yourselves for some hilariously absurd visual chaos!

Gino – Apparently, being sleazy, greasy, or a stereotypical Italian violates AI guidelines, but lobster claws for hands? Oh yeah, that’s totally fine in the AI world. My exact request was for an angry, plus-size Italian cooking seafood. What did I get? A lobster-hand-wielding chef. If Gino had any idea what AI thought of him, he’d probably serve them a side of revenge with extra butter.

Carol – For my first attempt at creating Carol, I specifically wanted to include the gold cross she wears in every scene. What did AI give me? Reverend Carol, complete with a collar and an aura of holiness that had me questioning if she was about to start a sermon instead of, you know, plotting murder. I had to throw in the towel pretty quickly on that one—apparently, AI has a divine sense of humor.

Sally – I asked for an uptight blonde in a black business suit looking annoyed. What did I get? Two people. One was a beatnik who looked like they were about to drop a poetry slam, and the other was a blonde holding an oversized bottle of beer, like she was ready to party in the middle of a board meeting. I still have no idea how AI made that leap, but maybe it knew Sally had a thing for younger men—though, at the time, I hadn’t spilled the beans on that yet. Guess AI’s got some insider info.

Lisa – Technically, yes, AI did deliver on a woman with long brown hair scowling in a toga, but what I got wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. Apparently, AI decided to throw in a whole anime twist for good measure. Instead of the sultry, disgruntled casino hostess I envisioned, I got a character who looked like she was about to drop a dramatic battle cry in the middle of an ancient Roman fight scene. Not exactly the vibe I was going for, but hey, at least she was scowling.

The Bullshot Saloon – Even the scenery turned into a wild ride with AI. I asked for a saloon in the heart of Atlantic City, and what did I get? A ghost town bar straight out of the Wild West. Apparently, AI thought I was writing a spaghetti western, not a murder mystery set in the bright lights of Atlantic City. It’s like they got so caught up in the “saloon” part that they forgot there shouldn't be tumbleweeds rolling through.

Granger / Master Ranger– I’m still not sure how AI turned Granger into a character straight out of Street Fighter, but all I could think was, Guile. Seriously, I was getting major Sonic Boom vibes from him. Just me? Maybe it’s because I’m a Gen Xer, but I half-expected Granger to start throwing hadoukens and shoryukens at the suspects instead of solving a murder. I mean, who knew AI was so into fighting game nostalgia?

Jeremy / One Nip – I mean… really, AI? This is so close to a Hulk copyright violation that I’m surprised Marvel hasn’t shown up at my door yet. Is this seriously your idea of a muscular ginger? And as Anne pointed out, where the heck is One Nip supposed to buy his shirts? Apparently, AI thinks his pecs are too big for any normal fabric to handle, so it just skipped that whole "clothing" detail. Guess we’ll have to send him to a specialty store for extra-large t-shirts.

Hashim – Maybe it’s the dad jokes? Maybe AI knew the gang loves karaoke, but how in the world did my detective of Middle Eastern descent end up holding a mic? I mean, sure, Hashim has a voice, but I wasn’t planning on him singing his way through the case. AI took “detective” and turned it into “karaoke superstar”, like he’s about to drop a power ballad in the middle of an interrogation. Guess it’s all part of Hashim’s charming multitalented persona.

Jason – You’d think a generic blonde cop would be easy, right? WRONG. I just wanted to add a few tattoos, and suddenly AI turned him into a heroin addict. When I asked for clean shaven, AI decided to send him back to the police academy. But the real kicker? When I specifically asked for no facial hair and got... an invisible freaking detective. What the actual hell, AI? It’s like I asked for a cop and got a ghost on a stakeout instead. Maybe next time I’ll try asking for a blonde with tattoos and no weird supernatural powers.

These were just some of my favorite screw-ups. It took three days and a lot of failed attempts before I finally got images that mostly matched my vision. The kicker, though, is that despite all the very strict guidelines flagging words like attractive, voluptuous, and sleazy, AI had no problem creating my furry expert Daphne. It captured her perfectly my first try! What a wild ride! I learned a lot about AI, but I can promise you this: my books and covers will always be 100% human-created! Big thanks to my editor Anne, not just for inspiring this fun post, but for being the brilliant mastermind behind the Tickled to Death cover and for tirelessly editing my work. Tickled to Death and the Doms wouldn’t be nearly as kinky without her. So, here’s to human creativity—AI can keep the invisible detective and ginger Hulk. We’re sticking with real talent.

Karaoke Night at the Bullshot Saloon with the Cope & Doms

In the Domme Mom series, when the cops and doms aren’t busy solving crimes or tying up loose ends (literally), they like to kick back with a drink and a round of karaoke at the Bullshot Saloon, a local bar on a shady side street in Atlantic City. Naturally, this leads to some epic playlists. So, buckle up for a selection of songs that totally capture the essence of the characters in Tickled to Death. Some are belted out at the bar during a karaoke showdown, while others set the perfect vibe for the action about to unfold. Whether you’re in the mood for some spicy tunes or a few laughs, this playlist has you covered—just like our favorite characters!

I Want It That Way – The Backstreet Boys
Led by Granger, the Dom boys, and the bodyguards, this is the karaoke performance you never knew you needed. When they hit the stage, it’s a whole new type of boy band in the making—just a little more leather, a lot more attitude, and a dash of mischief. They might not have the synchronized dance moves, but they've definitely got the charisma (and maybe a whip or two) to steal the show. Get ready for some unforgettable renditions that’ll have you questioning everything you thought you knew about boy bands!

Separate Ways – Worlds Apart – Daughtry & Lizzy Hale
This hard rock version of Separate Ways is a game-changer for Rhonda. As the guitars scream and the drums pound, she gets her first glimpse of Jason’s Celtic tattoos—and that voice of his. Formerly in a band, Jason’s not exactly new to the stage, but when Rhonda suggests a duet to solidify their partnership, she expects him to be intimidated. Spoiler alert: it’s her who’s sweating bullets. As their voices merge in an electrifying performance, she starts questioning if maybe, just maybe, going their separate ways isn’t such a great idea after all.

Mrs. Robinson – Simon and Garfunkel
When one of the murder suspects shows up at the victim's house in a gold cross and a skirt suit fit for Queen Elizabeth, Jason can’t help but think of Mrs. Robinson. Hopefully, Jesus has a spot saved for her, because this crime spree is just getting started and this case is about to take a much darker turn.

Baby Got Back – Sir Mix-a-Lot
During a visit to the dungeon, when Emily is looking extra voluptuous, Hashim can’t help but get Baby Got Back stuck in his head. He’s humming it, he’s tapping his foot, he’s living for it—much to Jason’s displeasure.

All Star - Smash Mouth - Everyone knows One Nip isn’t exactly the smartest tool in the shed, but when he grabs the mic at the Bullshot Saloon, it’s his booming baritone that steals the show. For once, it’s not just his impressive physique that’s turning heads.

Call Me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen
Even when Mavis is singing, she sounds like a virtual assistant. But when someone in the crowd catches her eye, she delivers a hilariously off-key rendition of this catchy tune, complete with robotic hand motions. The crowd’s unsure whether to laugh, cringe, or start looking for the nearest reset button.

Barbie Girl – Aqua
Daphne and her partner Katrina take the mic for this classic, and honestly, no song could be more fitting. With Daphne’s bubbly charm and Katrina’s playful sass, they absolutely slay this iconic anthem.

Strong Woman – Mitch Granger
When Jason breaks out his guitar and harmonica for an acoustic rendition of his sexy, soul-stirring ballad, the entire bar stops and stares—especially Rhonda. She's trying to keep her cool, but let’s be real: she’s absolutely hot and bothered.

Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan

Emily, in all her voluptuous glory, absolutely brings it with this toe-tapping number in the epilogue, setting the tone for what it truly means to be dominant.

Want to see how these songs come into play and how they tie into our characters' personalities? Grab your copy of Tickled to Death today and experience the ultimate playlist of mystery, sass, and some seriously kinky moments. Let these tracks whip you into shape as you dive into a world where every song has a little more bite! You’ll be begging for more by the last chapter—no safe words required!

DVD Review: Love by the 10th Date

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The race is on for love when Love by the 10th Date arrives on DVD July 18 from Lionsgate. The irresistible romantic comedy follows four friends — played by Meagan Good, GRAMMY® Award-winner Kelly Rowland, GRAMMY® Award-nominated Keri Hilson, and Kellee Stewart — navigating the ups downs of dating while on the journey toward the “elusive 10th date.” The Love by the 10th Date DVD will be available at Walmart for the suggested retail price of $14.98.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
Gabby (Meagan Good), Nell (Kellee Stewart), Billie (Keri Hilson), and Margot (Kelly Rowland) balance their dating adventures alongside their career ambitions at an upscale digital magazine in Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of their editor, Maureen (Cat Deeley). Inspired by the magazine’s relationship advice column on how to find “the one,” the ladies navigate the ups and downs of modern dating, romance, exes, and friendships, and learn what they really want out of life and love. Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Brandon T. Jackson also star.

My Thoughts

Love by the 10th Date is a cute romantic comedy film that centers around a group of four friends. Each of them works at a magazine with a tyrant boss, which keeps them busy and makes their dating life next to non-existent. In their own magazine, they read an article about how you usually know if you have met Mr. Right by the tenth date. They decide to put it to the test, and each women goes in search of the man of their dreams. Along they way, they learn a lot about themselves and grow closer than ever before.

I just loved this film. There were many hilarious moments where I laughed out loud, and I related to the struggle of finding a decent man. However, it was the bond between the friends that I enjoyed most of all. So many times women forget that friendships can be just as rewarding as romance. Often, friendships last much longer. This film is a wonderful reminder of the joys of friendship and a reminder to be grateful for the women who have touched our lives.

My Thoughts

Crime shows are my favorite, but occasionally I need to take a break and find something that makes me laugh. Brief Encounters was just what I was looking for. This series centers around four women in the 80s and their daily struggles with family and husbands. They all come together when they start selling adult products. This set includes six fun episodes:

1- When Stephanie's husband loses his job, she and her friend Nita land a job hosting parties for adult toys. Some of the town's top socialites show up for their first event.

2- Stephanie makes enough money to pay the rent, but an affair rocks the group.

3- Pauline is running the butcher business while her husband recovers. Several struggles for the ladies creep up in this episode.

4-Dawn is planning a wedding. Steph and Terry are at odds, and Nita has some family trouble.

5- Steph's marriage is on rocky ground and she considers giving up her lingerie gig.

6- Steph plans a big event with models and everything, but things get hairy in this hilarious climax.
This series is filled with laughs, but there are lots of touching moments too. I was just a kid in the 80s, but I can totally see my mom and her friends taking on something like this, and that makes me laugh even more. If you'd like to grab a copy of this hilarious sitcom, you can find it online at Acorn Media and on amazon.

Meet The Blacks hits Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD August 2

Beverly Hills isn't all that it's cracked up to be in Meet the Blacksarriving on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD), DVD (plus Digital), Digital HD, and On Demand August 2 from Lionsgate and Codeblack Films. When Carl Black comes into some unexpected money, he decides to give up his hustling lifestyle, take his family and leave Chicago behind, but...they realize they picked the worst time to move. The laugh-out-loud cast includes Mike Epps (The Hangover), Gary Owen (Ride Along), Zulay Henao (The Single Moms Club), Bresha Webb (Ride Along 2), Lil Duval ("BET's "ComicView"), Andrew Bachelor (Fifty Shades of Black,), DeRay Davis (21 Jump Street), with George Lopez (TV's "George Lopez") and Mike Tyson (The Hangover).
In a send-up of the hit franchise The Purge, Carl Black moves his family to Beverly Hills in hope of a better life, but their arrival coincides with the city's annual purge, where all crime is legal for twelve hours.
The home entertainment release of Meet the Blacks includes two behind-the-scenes featurettes, the "Hit the Gas" music video, "Don't Hate Wiring" parody commercial, and outtakes. Meet the Blacks will be available on Blu-ray and DVD for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.98, respectively.
BLU-RAY/DVD SPECIAL FEATURES*
  • "The Making of Meet the Blacks" Featurette
  • "Hit the Gas" Music Video
  • Behind the Scenes of "Hit the Gas"
  • "Don't Hate Wiring!" Parody Commercial
  • Outtakes

My Thoughts

Meet the Blacks is a parody movie, mostly taking a poke at The Purge. In this film, Carl Black comes into some money and movies his family to Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, they arrive right at the start of the annual purge. They soon find themselves on the run from a bunch of crazy people in masks who are out for the blood, including a few members of the KKK.  With people attacking on all sides, but missing their target half the time, the family tries to find cover amidst a lot of slapstick comedy that will leave you laughing out loud.

I enjoyed the Purge, this this parody was 10 times better. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. I especially loved seeing George Lopez in the role of the president. Of course, you'll catch a few jokes geared at other movies along the way as well, but it's all in good fun. Sometimes you just need a good laugh, and if that's the case, this is the perfect film for you. It's a great comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.

DVD Review: BIRDS OF A FEATHER, Set 1

BIRDS OF A FEATHER, Set 1 (DVD Debut) - “Hilarious” (Belfast Telegraph) - Returning after a 15 year hiatus, the hit British sitcom became ITV’s highest-rated comedy in over a decade. The lives of sisters Sharon (Pauline QuirkeBroadchurch) and Tracey (Linda RobsonShine on Harvey Moon) are never the same after their husbands are convicted of armed robbery and sent to prison. Forced to live together, the sisters become good—if begrudging—friends with their man-eating neighbor Dorien Green (Lesley JosephNight & Day).  Together with their families, Sharon and Tracey face the dramas, tragedies, stresses, and strains of keeping up with the world, without their husbands’ support. (DVD Single, 8 ep., $34.99). Premiered on Acorn TV.

My Thoughts

This fun series was originally aired back in the nineties, and I'm so glad that it is making a comeback. The show centers around two sisters- Sharon and Tracey.  Their husbands are arrested for armed robbery and they become good friends with their neighbor. The series follows them through hilarious drama and mishaps with a few touching moments mixed in. Set 1 includes eight episodes.

Gimme Shelter - After their husbands go to jail, the sisters meet up with their old friend Dorien at a book signing.

Slave - Sharon gets annoyed when Dorien treats her like a maid. When cash is needed the women come up with a hilarious plan.

Hot Stuff- Someone gets a booty call in the attic.

Blinded by Love - Lots of romance for all the ladies as Garth works on getting his restaurant repaired.

Tattoo You - Someone gets a surprise tattoo and someone else is having some hearing issues.

Blinded by Love - Sharon's ex-con husband wants a divorce so he can marry a blind girl.

Back to Zero - Job losses put a strain on finances but again, they find some hilarious ways to get by.

You Can't Always Get What You Want - Dorien goes to court, and the sisters meet a pair of old ladies that they see a lot of themselves in.

Bird of a Feather Flock Again - Bonus footage including behind the scenes, deleted scenes, and the 3 stars talking about how the show made a comeback.
I really enjoyed this show. It sort of reminded me the Golden Girls in a way. Though the circumstance of their friendship were different, the women develop the same type of bond. This is a classic British sitcom you don't want to miss.  If you'd like to grab a copy of this hilarious comedy for yourself, it is available online at Amazon and at Acorn Media.
