My Thoughts

My son is a huge Avenger fan. His whole bedroom is decked out in super hero decor from his sheets to his light switch covers. So this awesome print was a wonderful addition to his collection.   This beautiful print is limited to 1000 copies and features the full Avengers team including Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and more.  The print is very vivid and lifelike. You'll feel like you can step right into the image and join your favorite heroes. 

The print comes wrapped in plastic with a nice black and white border. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity, We're looking forward to getting a frame and hanging this up on the wall. Right now it's valued around $50, but I'm sure that value will rise as the years go by given the high collectible value of this piece.

My Thoughts  

The IRON MAN ARMOR UP FORTRESS Playset is the perfect gift for any Avengers fan. Iron Man is my son's favorite super hero, so he was super excited to test this out.  Luckily, it didn't take long to get it all set up. Assembly is super easy. The three large pieces slip into place next to each other. They aren't going to stay connected when you move them, but it only takes a second to put them back together.  You can really arrange the pieces is any way you like which makes it even more fun. 

The set comes with one Tony Stark action figure. He has adjustable arms and legs. He comes with two different suits in both red and silver. These snap right on top of the figure very easily, so kids won't get frustrated trying to change him. My son loves changing his outfit back and forth.

The play-set is extremely detailed with lots of little doors and windows that actually open and close. The large middle piece also makes machinery sounds when you press it down. There are slides, trap doors, and a clamp that lifts Iron Man up and down and puts on his suit. It works great most of the time, but it's a little tricky because it has to be lined up just right. Overall, a really fun toy and an awesome addition to my son's Avengers collection.

 My son is all about Marvel's Avengers right now, and the Hulk is his absolute favorite, so I had to get him this awesome ensemble. This Hulk costume slips on over any clothes in just a few easy steps. There are only two pieces involved. The first is like a body suit, and will cover up most of their chest. I love this because if you do use this for Halloween, you won't have to worry about your child getting cold if its a chilly night. 

 The second piece is the mask. This slips over their face and attaches at the back with Velcro. The Velcro holds it in place nicely and it doesn't slip. My son also has no trouble seeing through the eye slits.

 The costume is very well made, with tight stitches and no small pieces that will detach. It's also very comfortable. My son will run around for hours taking down imaginary villains, and I never hear  any complaints. But what impresses me the most is the attention to detail. The chest is padded, to make it look as though you have big muscles.

Step into Summer Fun with KLIPZ - Review & #Giveaway

 My youngest son is only three, and he hates shoes. Normally, I can't get him to keep them on for more than a few minutes at a time. He pulls them off as soon as I have him buckled into the car seat or the second he walks in the door. He never wanted to keep his feet covered--until now. As soon as he saw KLIPZ and their fun Avengers designs, he not only wanted to keep his shoes on, he's been waking me up at 5am begging me to put them on!

KLIPZ are interchangeable fashions just for kids. They offer high quality sneakers and backpacks that come with special KLIPZ that can be popped out and switched around. Choose from fun favorites like Avengers, X-men, Beyblade, Guardians of the Galaxy and more.  My son is a huge Hulk fan, so I knew right away which set of KLIPZ were right for him.

To go along with our KLIPZ, we also received a pair of  KLIPZ sneakers. These shoes are a much better quality that the character sneakers I usually purchase. With those, I'm lucky if they last a month before they rip or get holes in their soles. I know that won't be an issue with these high quality shoes.  They have a thick sole that provides great tread. The laces come pre-tied with a Velcro strap to keep them secure. They run true to size, and are very well-made and detailed. I have no doubt these shoes will last until my son outgrows them and will still be in good enough shape to pass down to his younger cousins.

KLIPZ sneakers are an awesome pair of shoes even before you consider the fun embellishments. The  sneakers I picked out came with neon green KLIPZ already included, but we immediately switched them over to our Hulk Klipz. This was extremely easy to do.  They pop right out and have little pegs on the end that snap into place. I've had no issues with the KLIPZ falling out, and believe me, my son is very hard on his shoes.

What I love the most about KLIPZ is that you can interchange the designs. Kids change their minds about their favorite things all the time. This way, if he loves Hulk today but can't live without Iron Man tomorrow, I can get another pair of KLIPZ and change the design without needing to buy another pair of shoes. They are fun for kids and also an affordable option for parents. Of course, the Avengers are only one example of the KLIPZ designs. Here are a few more styles on our wishlist.

Summer Fun with Play-Doh

Summer vacation is only  a few weeks away. I take my kids outside as much as possible, but there are bound to be some days where bad weather forces us indoors. To make sure my kids will stay entertained, I always make sure I have a few sets of Play-Doh around. Play-Doh is as much a staple of our summer time as water slides and sea shell huts, and this summer, there are some really fun new additions to the Play-Doh family.

With Avengers just coming out in theaters, the perfect Play-Doh set for little super-heroes is the PLAY-DOH SMASHDOWN HULK FEATURING MARVEL CAN-HEADS Assortment.  

My son had a ball with this set. It comes with three different cans of Play-Doh in green, orange ,and blue. Two of the cans are designed to look like the heads of the Avengers.  All along the Hulk's body, there are different molds. You can create bricks, airplanes, armor upgrades and more. There are also a few more stampers under Iron Man's feet.  You can create walls and traps that hulk can smash his way through. 

Hulk is awesome because when you press down his head, his hands actually crash down to "Hulk Smash" the Play-Doh. You can mash your Play-doh creations and make more over and over again. We had  tons of fun with the Can-heads, but I do wish that Hulk had a real head.  Then we could play with him even when we aren't using the Play-Doh, and we wouldn't have to worry about losing or breaking that particular can. Overall, though, this is still a great toy that fans of the Avengers are going to love.

For my daughter, we got to try out the PLAY-DOH MY LITTLE PONY RAINBOW DASH STYLE SALON Playset.  This set is lots of super-girly fun. It comes complete with six mini cans of Play-Doh, all in different colors.  There's also a set of play scissors (not sharp at all) so you can style your pony's hair.

There are lots of ways to play with this pony, and it kept my daughter entertained for hours. The most exciting part is the hair. There is a little lever on the top of the head that you can lift up and insert some Play-Doh. When you press it down, the Play-Doh comes out like hair. This works really well and never jams. We were able to get some really pretty rainbow hair going on. If it gets too long, you can use the scissors to give it a trim.

In addition to styling the pony's hair, you can also fill out all the different shapes on her body and her wings. It really looked pretty when we were done. The the best part is, you can do it over and over again. The dough did get a little mixed up, but that is easy enough to replace. The pony itself is well made, sturdy, and easy to clean.  My daughter enjoys playing with it even when she's not using the Play-Doh.
