My Thoughts
No Offence is a new crime series that centers around Vivienne Deering and a squad of female cops tackling some of the most gruesome crimes in Manchester including Dinah. From drug dealers to serial killers, this team uncovers horrors that even the most seasoned cops would have trouble handling. This second season includes seven exciting episodes.
1 - A bomb goes off at the funeral of relative of a crime lord. Viv tries to figure out who would attack the mobsters wife while dealing with memories of her husband.
2- An Irish gang member is killed and riots break out. A group of kids are trapped in a fire.
3- People at a local pub are taken hostage. Dinah and Joy search for the person responsible for the trapped children.
4 - The team arrests several drug dealers. Joy tries to deny her new boyfriend is involved in criminal activity.
5 - Manni is arrested. Dinah investigates a strike at an abortion clinic.
6 - Viv is suspended and Joy is promoted. Nora looks into a case involving female genital mutilation.
7 - Donna is missing and the police send out a search party. Nora is arrested, but the Attahs ares still plotting.
This was a great series. I think it's one of my favorites from Acorn so far. I love the full cast of strong female characters leading the cases, and every mystery leaves you on the edge of your seat. You can grab this DVD set on Acorn Media for only $49.99. You can also find it on Amazon.
