OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

As the two sailors set out on a journey across the ocean, Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.

My Thoughts

Adrift is an exciting film about new love and big danger. In this movie, two young people named Shailene and Sam meet by chance while on a trip of a lifetime. There is instant chemistry between them, and they decide to go out on a boat together. When the weather overwhelms their small boat, they are stranded in the ocean. Sam is hurt, and they have no way to call for help. This story of their survival is filled with bravery and a little passion.

This was a great movie. It has everything I look for in a film. There was action, danger, adventure, and romance. It's amazing how much can happen on such a small stage. Almost the whole movie is filmed on a small boat drifting in the ocean. The stars don't have many props to back them up, so they really have to rely on their talent to make it believable, and they did an amazing job.  If you'd like to pick up a copy of this DVD for yourself, it's available in stores nationwide on online at Amazon.
