My Thoughts

Zane Malik is a Muslim detective struggling to gain acceptance in a judgmental world. He has a hard time getting along with the senior detective, but the two soon find themselves growing closer as they fight for the same causes. This second season includes seven episodes.

The Lost Boy - Islam terrorists are suspected when a car bomb goes off, but Malik believes someone else is behind it.

A Prodigal Fear - A Lebanese women is the prime suspect in the car bombing. Malik goes undercover to find out while the murder of a wealthy college student is also being investigated.

Just Cargo - Malik is still undercover when try to link Akmal to the bombing. When Akmal's girlfriend is killed by a sex trafficker, he orders Malik to do the hit.

Ice In the Veins - An ambulance driver is stabbed by a druggie. Koa discovers a link between his death and a murdered NSO agent.

Men of Conscience - Akmal is killed in jail. Wright has personal and professional problems.

Another Life - Inspector Wright's brother is shot. The team works to bring his killer to justice while also investigating the death of a surgeon.

Atonement - There is a threat of a terror attack. Malik tries to find the truth and learns why Agent Angleton was killed.

I really enjoyed this series. It was great seeing a Muslim detective as a main character.  We live in a diverse world, and should see more diversity in our entertainment to reflect that. Zane is a great character. He's strong, determined, and spiritual. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next season. You can grab a copy of this great new series on DVD or Blu-ray from Acorn Media or online at Amazon.
