Love, Lies and Records DVD

Agatha Raisin's Ashley Jensen stars in this critically acclaimed Acorn TV Original drama about the personal and professional lives of employees at the Leeds Register Office. Working at the Register is no ordinary job--every day, the team is faced with life's greatest milestones: birth, marriage, and death.

My Thoughts

Love, Lies and Records is a fun series set in a records office. It centers around Kate Dickerson who has been there for years. The job takes a toll on her, but her personal life is also in shambles. To make matters worse, a jealous co-worker is trying to blackmail her. This first season includes six awesome episodes.

1 - Kate's stepson shows up, she sets up a hospice wedding, and she fights to get a promotion.

2- Jamie is transiting from male to female. Kate is accused of harassment by an immigrant. Kate's daughter skips school.

3 - Kate and Rob search for Lucy. Judy shares a dirty video of Kate and Rick with the whole office.

4- Rob finds another body. Kate finds the video in this bag, but doesn't know if he's seen it. Kate helps the police with a sham wedding.

5- Kate and Rob plan to marry, but someone else is threatening her with the video. Rob makes some new discoveries about the case.

6- Rob finally learns the truth and runs off. Rick is trying to get another job. Kate has a lot of decisions to make.

This is a great series. Its has lots of drama and humor.  There's even a little mystery. The characters all have a lot of personality. I'm excited to see what they come up with next. The DVD set also includes bonus footage and Q & A with the staff.   If you want to get a copy of this amazing DVD set for yourself, you can find it online at Accord Media or on Amazon.
