My Thoughts

Good Karma is a medical drama set in a little town in India. It centers around Dr. Ruby Walker. After the end of her relationship, she decides to leave her stressful UK job behind and start over in a small hospital in India.  Adjusting to life in India takes some getting used to, but she soon  learns to embrace her new life.  Season one includes six episodes.

1- Dr. Ruby leaves the UK to start her life over in India. She arrives to meet an interesting cast of characters.

2 - A man washes up on shore, and a snake charmer needs help. A teacher ask Ruby out on a date.

3 -  Everyone is celebrating the Holi Festival. Ruby gets attached to an abandoned baby.

4 -  There is some arguing before a wedding, and a UK patient isn't telling the whole truth.

5- Lydia and Ruby get into an argument when Lydia causes trouble at a convent.

6 - Lydia and Ruby can't seem to get along. A monsoon is heading their way, and Maggie isn't doing well.

I really enjoyed this series. Medical dramas are always fun, but this one has a really unique theme and setting. There are funny moments, and heart touching scenes. This is one of me favorite Acorn TV shows so far, and I can't wait to see what happens in the second season. Grab a copy of Series 1 for yourself on Acorn Media or Amazon.
