More than 20 million people tuned into the NBA finals last season, as the Golden State Warriors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s the highest viewership for an NBA playoff series since 1998 when Michael Jordan ruled the court.
As a new generation of basketball powerhouses continue dominating the league, more fans are tuning in to games to catch all the action. To start this upcoming basketball season with a slam dunk, DISH is offering free previews of NBA TV and NBA League Pass from October 17-24.
NBA TV (Channel 156)
In addition to airing regular season games, NBA TV features team and game analysis, NBA documentaries, regular season WNBA coverage and NBA playoff broadcasts. For a die-hard basketball fan, no channel gives as much in-depth coverage of the NBA.
NBA League Pass (Channel 5000-5061, Hopper Channel 470)
NBA League Pass, NBA’s out-of-market package, features up to 40 live games from around the league each week. This means that you can follow your favorite teams, player or match-ups from outside of your local viewing area. So, if you want to watch the Golden State Warriors while you’re in New York, or the Cleveland Cavaliers from Florida, you can.
If you’re having a hard time letting go of all this basketball coverage come October 24, don’t worry. You can get NBA TV with the Multi-Sport Pack or by subscribing to DISH’s America’s Top 200 package and above. Visit mydish.com/NBA or call 1-877-DISH-PPV to add NBA League Pass to your account for $199.
