My Thoughts
Sofia the First is one of my daughter's favorite shows. I like it as well because it always has a good moral. The show teaches children many things, one of which is always to show kindness to others. This DVD is especially fun because you get to see so many of the other classic princesses including Jasmine, Mulan, Belle, and Tiana. There are six episodes in this DVD including:
The Amulet and the Anthem- Sofia gets picked to sing the anthem but it goes to her head. All her bragging causes her amulet to curse her and her voice turns into a ribbit. Belle comes to the rescue to help her solve the problem.
Princesses to the Rescue- Two young princes go in search of treasure, but fall into the trap of the Jade Jaguar. Their parents go to rescue them but fall into the same trap. Sofia and the other princesses rescue them with a little guidance from Mulan.
Winter’s Gift- Sofia wants to find the perfect gift for Cedric. Along the way she meets a deer that is cursed. Everything he touches turns to ice. To undo the curse, he has to bring a witch a gift. Tiana appears and teaches them both that the best gifts come from the heart.
Two to Tangu - The princesses take a little ride on a magic carpet, but wind up lost when the carpet goes haywire. Princess Jasmine shows up to to teach them how to fly their carpet.
Minimus is Missing - Princess Amber struggles with learning to fly a Pegasus. She's ready to give up when all the flying horses vanish. She'll have to overcome her fears and fly a griffon in order to help bring them home.
Cool Hand Fluke - Sofia throws a party for the Mer people. Fluke is jealous and tries to outdo her and winds up stuck inside a clam. Flip's horn is broken when they rescue him which leads to more trouble.
This is such a great set of shows, and as an added bonus, you get a free stationary kit inside the package. My daughter just loved this DVD and it's a great addition to our collection.
