Connect with a Doctor Anytime with Amwell Medical! #MOMSLOVEAMWELL

***This post was sponsored by the Role Mommy Writer's Network.  However, all opinions are 100% my own. ***

Being a work-at-home mother of four, I have lots of experiences with doctor visits. I love our pediatrician, but it seems like at least once a month, we have a minor emergency that occurs minutes after the office closes. Nobody wants to make a run to the emergency room and sit there for hours only to be told the cut didn't require stitches or that you only need over the counter cough medicine.  For those times when it's not really an emergency, but your regular doctor isn't available, Amwell can help! They are the most popular consumer telehealth app worldwide according to App Annie.

Amwell is the largest telehealth company is the nation. They connect their users with board-certified, licensed doctors for immediate and live online visits. Amwell doctors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so there is always someone there who's ready to help you, whether it's a primary care doctor, specialist physician, behavioral therapist, or registered dietitian.

Using Amwell is easy. You can register is just a few steps.  You then come to a page that lists the physicians that are currently online. You can select the one that best fits your needs.

Then it brings you to a section where it asks what your symptoms are, what your medical history is, what medications you're taking, and your current vitals if they're available.

Next it allows you to select your pharmacy, because in most cases you can actually get a prescription if it's necessary. Finally, you download the video tool and get ready for your consultation.

Luckily, since learning about Amwell, my children have managed to avoid any medical issues, but I wanted to test the service for myself. Last week, I had a few questionable moles removed. Two of the areas have already started to scab over, but one was a little itchy and oozing. I thought I had it pretty well under control, but I hooked up with a  doctor on Amwell anyway.

I spoke with Minoti Parab, Family Physician and she was extremely nice and helpful. She went over all the symptoms with me and recommend a topical antibiotic. Not only did she help me with my medical issue, but even helped me get the video going on my computer when I got stuck!

Amwell is a wonderful and convenient service that allows you to gt medical advice from a professional without ever leaving the comfort of your home. I used my desktop computer, but you can download the app on a variety of devices. The website is super easy to navigate, and you won't have to spend hours sitting in a doctor's office. They even take some forms of insurance. Every visit is secure and HIPAA compliant. The next time you want to talk to a doctor, give Amwell a shot.
