My Thoughts

Republic of Doyle is a  crime series with a touch of humor and romance. The series follows Doyle and his dad and in their private investigating business. This season is packed with intrigue. There are thirteen episodes to enjoy including:

Live and Let Doyle - Doyle has a new squeeze and the kidnapping of a mailman may somehow be tied to national security.

Popeye Doyle-Doyle  heads to prison in the hopes of catching a necklace thief.

A Stand Up Guy-Doyle helps out a comedian who is being threatened.

The Son Also Rises- A friend of the father and son duo is accused of murder.

Something Old, Something Blue - The Doyles try to uncover a wedding sabotage while facing a few relationship challenges of their own.

The Ryans and the Pittmans - A daughter of a friend gets lost at sea and the Doyles think something is fishy.

Crashing on the Couch - A psychiatrist winds up on the wrong side of the couch and loses it in public. Doyle thinks there is more to this breakdown than it seems.

Sympathy for the Devil- The guys go into bounty hunting in this laugh out loud episode.

Will the Real Des Courtney Please Stand Up?- The team is forced to investigate one of their own.

The Special Detective - A crime fiction writer follows Doyle around while he investigates a murder.

Don't Gamble with City Hall- An illegal gambling ring is uncovered and gets some heavy hitters into trouble.

St. John's Town - Suspicious goings on at a housing development could ruin the mayor's chances at re-election.

Family Business - It's more than business when Tinny & Des are kidnapped.

This is such a great series, filled with unexpected twists and turns and characters you can actually relate to. I can't wait for season 3! If you'd like a copy of this awesome DVD for yourself, you can find it on Acorn Media and Amazon.
