TriCalm Steroid-Free Anti-Itch Hydrogel

The end of summer is creeping closer and the last long weekend is guaranteed to be filled with BBQs and fun, as well as bug bites, rashes, sunburn and minor injuries. If you’re working on any stories about prepping for Labor Day weekend, steroid-free TriCalm is a must-have for any parent.  We’re also happy to participate in a reader giveaway if that’s something you’re interested in.

Skin irritations are commonly treated with steroid-based cortisone creams which include potential side effects like dark hair patches, new allergies, skin discoloration and more. However, there are steroid-free alternatives including TriCalm, a gel that provides fast-acting relief without the risks of steroids.  It can be used daily and on children as young as two.

My thoughts:

I have used this product when I came in contact with Poison Oak.  And it did take the itch away.  Most recently with the changing of the seasons, I have started to have an outbreak of my  Eczema.  I put Tricalm on the spots and it helped clear them up.

You don't need to use much on any area.  It actually feels like a skin moisturizer when applied.  It dries quickly and is not greasy. You can use this on children ages two and up.  Which is a plus, especially since children that play outside tend to get bit by mosquitoes.  My ten year had a couple mosquitoe bites, and this took the itch right out of it.

The fact that Tricalm can be used by your whole family for a variety of needs, is all the more reasons that I would recommend it to be in your medicine cabinet.

Tricalm is available at CVS, Walmart and Walgreens.
