Parragon is one of the largest illustrated non-fiction publishers in the world. Here are a few great choices from their Little Learners Collection.

Count to Ten With a Mouse

Wait! Open this set VERY gently-there s a little mouse inside! Carefully turn the pages and learn to count with your cuddly mouse! This beautifully illustrated story set from best-selling author Margaret Wise Brown - creator of the children s classic Goodnight Moon will enchant children and parents alike.

My Thoughts

This adorable story is a wonderful way to teach young children their numbers. When you open the book, it's designed to look as though the mouse lives within the pages. He climbs through the holes and every time there is a new discovery. Kids can count butterflies, cats, monkeys and a variety of other interesting  things. When you come to the end, you can go backwards and learn the numbers in reverse. While at times some of the wording is slightly repetitive, overall its a great story. This new addition also comes with a plush mouse to go along with the story and my son loved having the toy in his lap as we read along.

With holes to peek through and shapes to peep over, join this cat and dog in their playful, peek-a-boo romp through the pages. For a long, long time, everyone has known that dogs and cats just don't get along. Dogs want to play. Cats want to sleep. Dogs want to chase. Cats want to run and hide! One little cat knows all this very well. So she runs ... into a book where she eats a little bear's porridge, through a story where she circles round and round and down a beanstalk, and through so many more favorite fairy tales and rhymes. And, of course, a dog chases her! But what will happen when he finally catches up? Written by award-winning author Malachy Doyle, this new picture book encourages interactive reading, a love of books, and an excitement for sharing stories.

My Thoughts

In Peek-A-Book, a little dog in one book chases a cat from another book right out of the pages. They begin a hilarious race through some of the most popular fairytales. They stop to eat the three bears' porridge, startle Jack's giant, and even come across the candy house from Hansel and Gretal.  As you follow them from one page to another, there are  flaps were you can get a peek at what's to come. This also lets the dog see where the cat was going next. My four-year-old daughter loved this book. She thought the silly shenanigans were hilarious and she loved how the cat and dog entwined themselves in all her favorite stories. This is a humorous and original children's book with beautiful illustrations that will keep any child glued to their seats.

Stylish and practical journals to capture all that vital information!  To-do lists, shopping lists, things you need to remember, or just those moments of sheer inspiration that need to be recorded. Our journal includes 160 pages and each features a gorgeous design that makes using every page a joy.  With the added bonus of fitting into your bag, you can use our beautiful journal wherever and whenever the need arises.

My Thoughts

Here's a little something for the moms! The Paris Journal is beautifully bound with lush pages. Whether you like to keep a dream journal or need a place to organize your thoughts, his little book is just the thing. It's compact enough to carry in your handbag. It's also a great little notebook for older kids heading back to school. My teen daughter actually swiped mine to write her poetry in.  There are certainly tons of ways to fill these pages.

These are just a few examples of the fun books you can find at Parragaon Books. For more great titles for your kids, be sure to visit the Parragon website or connect with them via social media.
