Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced the North Pole PIXMA app for Facebook, where parents can help their children create a holiday wish to be sent directly to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole and watch it be printed on a Canon PIXMA printer using cloud technology.

The Canon North Pole PIXMA app will provide a unique and interactive experience allowing parents to help their children to write, draw or use pre-selected images to create their holiday wish. Once the wish has been customized, it is sent through the cloud to Santa’s workshop, where users will be shown a video of Santa receiving their wish printed on a Canon PIXMA printer. Bringing smiles to children and parents alike, the video features a cast of iconic holiday characters, including North Pole workshop elves, the Abominable Snowman, Mrs. Claus and Santa.

In addition to easily sending wishes to Santa, Canon PIXMA printers with cloud technology give users the ability to print photos and documents directly from popular cloud services including Facebook, Twitter®, Flickr®, Dropbox®, Photobucket® and EVERNOTE®. 

The Canon North Pole PIXMA app will be available on the Canon Facebook page until December 24^th  through desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices. The app will be supported by holiday-themed street teams in New York, N.Y. on December 6-7^th,  at the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minn. on December 14^th, Philadelphia, Pa. on December 14^th, and at the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, Calif. on December 14-15^th.

My Thoughts


My daughter and I tried out the app first hand, and she just loved it. I had to help you with the typing part since she's only three, but it was so much fun to see her letter on the screen. She even added a cute picture just for fun.  Once its finished you can print it off an mail it to Santa and even save an extra copy for yourself. It only takes a few minutes, but it will be an experience kids will never forget.
