It’s a problem parents and children encounter every year: head lice. And it’s not going away. In fact, it’s getting worse: in the United States, there are between six and twelve million cases annually. The result: hours spent laundering lice-infested bed sheets, blankets, clothes, and stuffed animals, missed school days for children, missed work days for parents, and countless dollars being spent on treatments that may or may not be effective.
In the past, there have been two main ways to treat lice after they appear. One is to use pharmacy shampoos, the majority of which are laden with chemicals that can irritate the skin and damage hair follicles, and prove less effective as lice become more resistant to them. The other treatment is to painstakingly remove lice and their nits (eggs) by hand using a special comb, a process that takes time and patience and often needs repeating.
Why not discourage head lice before they appear in the same way we look to natural solutions to protect our children from sunburn or bug bites? In using Babo Botanicals highest quality, natural solutions for your entire family, you can do just that. Babo Botanicals Rosemary Tea Tree Lice Repel Shampoo and Babo Botanicals Lice Repellent Spray both feature a unique blend of rosemary, mint, and tea tree oil to provide a safer, all-natural alternative to harsh chemicals. This pesticide-free, additive-free mix repels lice while cleansing and conditioning hair with pure botanical ingredients.
"I sought the advice of Katie Shephard, one of the country's leading researchers on lice, and author of Lice Advice (Stargroup International, 2009) while I was developing our lice repellant products in order to come up with the most beneficial line on the market - clinically proven to be 95% effective and both products can be used daily because they are so gentle and sensitive.”- Kate Solomon, Founder, Babo Botanicals. A former beauty development executive with L’Oreal, Givenchy and Avon, Solomon created the successful kid-friendly beauty brand when she was searching for gentle high-quality, all-natural products for her own children.

My Thoughts
So far I have been pretty fortunate. My kids have never had lice (I am knocking on wood right now). But I know the threat is out there, and I take it very seriously. You never know who your kids are sitting next to in school or whose head was touching the seat on the bus before them. Luckily, you can stop lice before they start, thanks to the wonderful hair care products from Babo Botanicals. They have shampoo, conditioner, and more that not only leaves hair soft and shiny, but also prevents the outbreak of lice. Plus its made with only all natural ingredients.
My kids aren't nearly as worried about getting lice and I am, but they are particular about their shampoo. If it doesn't have a nice smell, they aren't going to touch it. Luckily, the tea tree scent is pleasant. The shampoo left my children's hair looking shiny and healthy. The detangler worked wonders on my daughter's fine hair which always gets very tangled when she washes it. Best of all, its offering my children the protection they need to prevent lice before it ever happens. But just in case the little buggers sneak up on you, the Babo Botanicals Lice Repellent Gift set also comes with a nifty little NitFree Terminator comb to help get rid of them.
In addition to the items we reviewed, Babo Botanicals also have a full line of baby care, swimmers products, detangling products andlall natural sunblocks.
