Attention: Georgia Residents or Folks That Want to Fight Domestic Abuse

Posted by Tara C.

I have an important message to everyone today. If you are in the Georgia area, you may wish to participate. If not, you may wish to donate.

Eagle Cove Quest is an obstacle/mud race to take place on March 23. The proceeds will benefit Promise Place, The Fayette County Council on Domestic Violence. There is everything from a family course to a hard core race and things in between. People can register for the race, make a donation, become a sponsor or volunteer. Our website has a link to the race, a link to donate, and more information about our organization. Even if people do not want to donate, they can like either Promise Place (Organization/Fayetteville, GA) or Eagle Cove Quest on Facebook to show their support.

Promise Place's mission statement is: "to prevent domestic violence through awareness programs, educational training and providing safe environments for the victims and their families, utilizing legal advocacy, emergency shelters and transitional housing."

Promise Place provides: 24 Hour Crisis Hotline 770 460 1604 Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter Support Groups Legal Advocacy Teen Dating Violence Awareness Program Safety Planning Children's Programs Community Education

It's not asking much of you to like their pages or spread the word to your Georgia friends about this. Be aware of domestic violence. It's an ongoing thing and the only way we can stop it is through joint effort.
