Little Me Multiple Birth Program & Giveaway

I am the mom of four children and its always amazing bringing new life into the world. While I haven't had the joy of multiple births myself, I have shared some of the worries many mothers of multiples face.  All four of my children were premature, but only my two boys had major complications. My youngest son, Nicky, was born on 8/17/11-over a month before his due date. He was 7 pounds 3 oz, but despite his healthy birth weight, his lungs were still underdeveloped. It was a scary time. The hospital where he was born didn't have the capabilities to care for premature babies. Mere hours after his was born he was taken from my arms and transferred to a hospital in Camden. I wasn't released until the next day and it was one of the longest nights of my life. When I finally got to his side, it was terrifying seeing him hooked up to respirators and all kinds of monitors. The hospital was almost three hours away, but I made the trip back and forth every day until he was released. It was like deja vu  because I had gone through the exact same thing with my other son almost ten years before. Today, my boys are one and ten, and when they drive me insane, I remind myself of those days in the NICU. Remembering how they struggled to breathe makes me appreciate their ability to scream at the top of their lungs.

When we were in the NICU, I met a several mothers of multiples. One mom I befriended even had quintuplets! They were born at about 29 weeks gestation and were just so tiny in their incubators.   It was an amazing seeing all those babies lined  up next to each other in the NICU, each one identical to the others.  It was even more amazing to see them dressed in their matching outfits when they were healthy and ready to go home. I'm sure the clothes at Little Me would have been perfect for those four little guys. Though I have to admit, I have no idea how that mom managed it.  Its hard enough having four kids of various ages. If I had four newborns all at once, I think I would completely lose my mind. More power to the mom's of multiples. They are my heros!

Multiple birth is a joyous occasion that is understood and cherished by Little Me. They understand that expecting a multiple birth is both a magical and a worrisome time in your life. They would like to help you focus on the double (triple, quadruple or more) adorable smiles and giggles you’ll have coming to you in droves! To make things just a little easier, Little Me would like to offer you a “Welcome to the World” gift after your children’s births. To receive your free gift please register for the Multiple Birth Program.

So sorry they took your son to another hospital without you. How hard that must have been! I had a difficult labor with my first son and was terrified when they took him for just a couple of hours.

Thank goodness for the medical care we have here. My son had type 1 diabetes at 21 months went onto have a heart transplant at 19. My daughter had cancer at 7 is now 23. So we all count our blessing when it comes to medical miracles.Good health is what I wish for everyone.

When I had my daughter I was in the hospital for a week before I had her. When I did have her she was almost a month early, and only weighed 4lbs 1oz. I was sent to another hospital 2 hours away due to have 2 hematomas, and 2 that had previously burst and my dr had to fix them. It was worth it in the end though.
