Holiday Gift Guide - Think Geek Doctor Who Animated Chess Set Review & $50 GC Giveaway

I admit it. I like to get my geek on.  I wear glasses, even though I could use contacts. I played "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Magic the Gathering" in high school, and still do occasionally. I was also on the chess team and and I'm a huge sucker for anything science fiction or fantasy related. Some of my favorite television shows of all time include "Xena the Warrior Princess", "Stargate", and of course, "Doctor Who". With a track record like that, how could I not love Think Geek. This is a store that has everything a nerdy four-eyed book worm could ever dream of! Including a Doctor Who Animated Chess Set that combines two of my geeky favorites into one delightfully dorky package.

I was lucky enough to receive the Doctor Who Lenticular Animated Chess Set to review and it is by far the coolest chess board I have ever owned. Each piece has two lenticular photos of the characters, and when you tilt them, it looks like they are really moving and morphing into one. The good guys team includes: 11th Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams, River Song, the TARDIS, and the Judoon and bad guys team includes: Weeping Angel, Supreme Dalek, Cybermen, Silurian General Restac, Smiler, and the Pandorica. Even the board has the Pandorica Symbol on it. This chess set is the perfect choice for a holiday gift for any Dr. Who fans out there. Its an official licensed collectible and lots of fun!

Even if you aren't quite as geeky as I am, you are sure to love the unique and original items at Think Geek.  If you are looking for a fun gift this holiday season, than Think Geek is the perfect place to start shopping. You can shop by price, category, or even pick stocking stuffers using their convenient search engines! Be sure to check out their sale section for savings on already low prices. Whether you're looking for toys for kids, fun finds for the die hard collector, or even something for the techie geek in your life, you can find it all and more at Think Geek!

In honor of the holiday season, one lucky winner is going to receive a $50 Gift Certificate to Think Geek. To enter, just fill in the Rafflecopter form below. The winner will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to reply. Thanks again to Think Geek for offering this fantastic prize.
