Cape May Point -My Family's Favorite Spot

Cape May point is one of my favorite spots in my county. It has everything. A long and beautiful nature trail, it leads out to a quiet stretch of beach, it had a picnic area, and you can even walk up the light house. You can spend hours there, and its doesn't cost a dime. Its a great spot to get away in these hard economic times. If you are within driving distance of South Jersey, this is the place to be. Here are a few more photos.

There are always hundreds of Monarch butterflies flying around.

Beautiful flowers bloom from the spring until the late fall.

Here's a little dragonfly.

Swans on the lake

The beach

And twilight shot of the lighthouse.

Well, I'm sure that's enough photos for one day. I could fill up my whole blog with pictures of this place!

Amazing that you posted this on the date that you did! It caught my eye immediately, as I also love the Point. About the date though, you posted on my brother's birthday, and he recently passed away quite suddenly down there by the Lighthouse.
I have taken numerous shots of the Light, Lake Lily and Sunset Beach. Your pics are beautiful!
I enjoy following your blog, thanks for the work you put into it.
