My Thoughts

These books are great. When I, as an adult, learn things, that is a huge bonus lol. My son likes all of these subjects, but he really got into the Cars! Trucks! Trains! one. The books are very similar in their format so I will discuss this one first. Number one, there are a lot of stickers! This book is definitely not wimpy on the stickers. There are all sorts of different activities your child can do. My child is only four so there was definitely a lot of vocabulary to explain to him, but he loves to ask, "What is that?" When you peel the stickers, there are facts underneath each of them. There are mazes, create your own flight formation pages, build your own train, all sorts of scenes to build for yourself. There are boat races, constructions zones, airport landing, etc. These books are very interactive, and customizable. My son can really make this book his own. I also like that unlike some activity books where they are done with them in a half an hour, this book is chock full of activities to keep your child busy for a few different sessions of play or for a very long time. They even have some more unusual vehicles as well like horse and buggy, zambonis, and ice cream trucks. All the different types of vehicles that kids love and are interested in, which is pretty much all of them.

The Oceans and Space books are similar formats with different activities and build a scenes for each of their topics. For the Space book there are scenes like Moon Walks. Mission to Mars, Stargazers, etc. In the Oceans book there is coral reefs, tide pools, shipwreck, etc. All of these books lead to hours of fun and you will not regret getting these books for your child for a long trip or any time really.

Holiday Gift Guide - Dino Construction Vehicles from OneStepAhead

The Dino Construction line blends my son's two favorite things--trucks and dinosaurs. He got to test out the T-Rex Skid Loader and the Tricerotops Construction vehicle, and he absolutely adores them. There is nothing not to like about these toys. First off, they are nice and big with lots of moving parts, but completely kid powered. I love toys that don't make noise and don't require batteries. The plastic is bright and colorful, but also very sturdy. There are no small pieces to break off. The way they make the different pieces of the trucks look like dinosaur parts is really awesome. The scoop has teeth and the cab windows look like eyes. The mini cranes on the side are like arms.  It's a very imaginative idea!

We found the T-Rex and Triceratops worked well both inside and outside. My son really enjoyed taking him down to the beach and using him to move the rocks and sand around. When we got back home, it was easy to wipe him down. We have had tons of trucks and tons of dinosaurs over the years, but the Dino Construction line has quickly become one of my son's favorite toys. Now, I am going to have to get him the whole set! My Thoughts

My kids were able to try out the CAT Truck and Trailer set. This classic Cat machine styles with freewheeling driving. Each set includes a detachable trailer carrying a Cat Mini Mover featuring flashing lights, fun vocal phrases and realistic sound effects. My daughter, Willow, is definitely a tom boy who loves to play with trucks with her brother and the CAT trucks are the perfect choice for preschoolers. They are very sturdy and well made, with no small pieces that will detach.The Truck is a cute push truck that is great for indoor and outdoor play. Kids can load it up with toys and push it across the floor. I plan on taking this one to the beach as well. Its the perfect truck for hauling sand and the large wheels will work have no problem getting through the rough terrain.The mini mover is even more interactive with the lights and sounds. Getting two trucks in one package is great because my two little ones can play with it together.
