Unique, Interactive Gadget Enhances Experience With Stuffed Animals by Bringing Them to “Life”

Unique, Interactive Gadget Enhances Experience With Stuffed Animals by Bringing Them to “Life”
Sparks Creativity, Vocabulary Building and Ongoing Learning in the Child
The holidays are around the corner and there are thousands of gift options for children, even for those who seem to have everything. The ideal toys parents want to give or have their child receive are usually educational ones that are infused with fun and develop their imaginations while also sparking their creativity.
Chappet is a Bluetooth speaker encased in a two-inch wide yellow button and is controlled by a smartphone app. It allows parents to interact with their children through their stuffed animals during creative playtime. Chappet supports more than 1,000 prerecorded phrases, features 20 pre-recorded songs and stories, and its auto chat function can mimic the words a child shares with it in conversation, allowing children to interact with their favorite toy in an entirely new way.

“You can be in another room or right next to them on the couch,” said Naoki Ono, Chappet Development Team Leader. “They won’t know it’s you unless you tell them because Chappet allows parents or loved ones to become the camouflaged voice of the child’s stuffed animal that involves fun, responsive, back-and-forth social and creative interactions.”

Through the app, you have four interaction options:
  1. Voice Chat: Where, through Chappet, parents pretend they are the stuffed animal to chat with their child. Imagine being in the kitchen and your child is in the living room. You will have a blast seeing and hearing your child’s reactions to the chats with his or her stuffed animal.
  2. Text Chat: Where Chappet reads aloud what you type in a charming voice. You can be next to your child to teach him or her letters and numbers, or simply “chat” with your child through his or her favorite stuffed animal.
  3. Tap Chat: Where Chappet allows you to speak pre-recorded sentences. You can choose from a list of more than 1,000 phrases across numerous categories that suit a variety of every day scenarios, and 20 pre-recorded songs and stories. You can also add new phrases via text with your own voice, and original songs and stories too!
  4. Auto Chat: Where Chappet responds to your child’s voice by making affirmative sounds of agreement or mimicking phases. Your child will laugh out loud when he or she finds their best friend is mimicking him or her.

Chappet can also support parents as they help their children follow a daily schedule. It allows you to set up reminders for key daily events such as meal, snack, or nap times. It can also be a great tool to help parents with potty training, allowing them to program their own phrases that use specific words their children respond to or use related to potty training.

The 2-inch-wide button makes it safe for children. It can be sewn on or tightly attached with a string around the stuffed animal’s neck like a necklace. Chappet does not need a battery because it is rechargeable. To learn more about Chappet’s functionality, visit www.Chappet.com. It is available for purchase exclusively on Amazon.com. App is available for free on Apple Store and Google Play.

Holiday Gift Guide - Kidoo Pets Chocolate Lab - Review & #Giveaway

Kidoo Pets are adorable interactive pets available from Teeboo. Choose from cats or dogs in a variety of breeds including labs and Persian cats. Each one is super soft and cuddly, and also very interactive.  They whine, bark, purr, and even lap up the food in their bowls. For children, they are almost like having a real pet.

My daughter got to test out the chocolate lab from Kidoo Pets, and she was love as soon as we opened the package. The fur on the puppy is so soft, and they are stitched together really well. This is definitely a high quality stuffed animal.  The fact that there are gadgets inside does nothing to take away from the cuddly factor. You can't feel them at all when you hug the toy. There is also a lot of details, right down to the realistic eyes and nose. But the really fun part is all the cute noises this dog can make. There are about a dozen different areas you can press or squeeze and each one omits a different sound. Your puppy will whine for your attention, pant, bark and so much more. There is a new sound almost every time you touch him.

Attached to each dog is a bowl. When you press his face close to it, you  an hear it lapping up his water or food.  The sound effects only go off when you are playing with it, so it's not as annoying as some other interactive toys that make so much noise you have to dig it out of the toy chest at 2am to turn it off. My daughter had wanted one of those robotic looking dogs, but she is so much happier with this one. It's a lot easier for younger kids to control, a heck of a lot cuter, and there's just as much interaction. Not to mention it's much more affordable.

The Kidoo Pets are only one example of the adorable interactive plush toys you can find at Teeboo. To see their full selection or to find a store near you that carries them, check out their website. Any of their items would be a great choice for the holidays. To keep up with new products and productions, be sure to follow them on face book, twitter, and pinterest.

Review: Uncle Milton Interactive Toys for Kids

Founded in 1946, Uncle Milton creates, produces and markets proprietary and licensed toys that inspire imagination and learning while encouraging kids to explore and discover their world. The company has branched out and has numerous brands.

Marvel Science has the new Transforming Hulk. This is a fun and interactive. Hulk is locked inside an underwater vault. Add water and wait for the Hulk to break out and grow up to 4 times his size. My son enjoyed this and kept checking to see what changes had been made.

The directions say it takes 24-48 hours for Hulk to begin to break the chamber. However, the temperature of the water I believe varies this time. We used luke warm water, as per directions, and it took more like 72 hours for the chamber to crack.

Hulk is supposed to shrink back down so you can grow him again, but after almost two weeks, Hulk is still rather large. Whether Hulk shrinks back down or not, this was a lot of fun for my nine year old, as well as the grown ups.

Fireworks Light Show allows kids to celebrate all year round with their new Wild Whilstin' Fireball. There really isn't too much to this, but it is a lot of fun! Multi-colored lights and fireworks sound effects keeps kids entertained! This was a lot of fun, especially on camping trips to keep occupied once the sun goes down. Engaging and bright, we really enjoyed receiving this to review.
