My Thoughts

I'm always curious about the various cleaning products out there that don't require one to use chemicals. So when I got the opportunity to give Force Of Nature a try, I was willing to. This came with one spray bottle, one bottle I made the mixture in, several more packets to make more solution. As well, the base that mixes it all together has a countdown on it.

The cleaner is only good for 14 days after it's mixed. It's tap water with their solution of white vinegar and salt. I'm not quite sure why it goes bad after 14 days and I'd like to learn a little more about why. The info that came with the kit didn't explain why. Just basics on how to make the solution.

It took about 10 minutes for the solution to be made and then it was ready to use. I poured it into the spray bottle and decided to give it a try on my counters and sink first. The sprayer works a little different. You press it in and it sprays automatically until the handle comes back up. It was nice, but took some getting used to.

I was impressed with this when it came to basic cleaning such as counters, tables, and even windows. It worked well on the litter box also when I tested it for getting rid of the smell. I did attempt to use it in my shower to clean it, but it didn't seem to work as well as my usually cleaner.

Back to it only being good for 14 days. I had half a bottle left when my 14 days were up and it was time to dump it out. I was disappointed that it didn't last longer and felt almost wasteful to be getting rid of it. I'd prefer to be able to make less cleaner at a time so I'm not wasting as much. Especially since you have to use their pre-made packets of vinegar and water.

Over all I did like this product and found it to be a really good cleaner and deodorizer.

Zabada: Clean your home with just water.

Zabada (www.zabadaclean.com) is crusading to rid homes, and the planet, of poisonous chemical cleaners. Chemical free, cost efficient and environmentally friendly, Zabada removes 99% of harmful bacteria just by using water—all you need to do is wet, wipe and dry. Zabada’s ultra-fine and unique thick-pile fibers replace the whole yucky chemical process to achieve an unbeatable result. It’s a deep-cleaning mechanical process that shaves off and traps the dirt, grease and bacteria deep in the fiber, and only releases them when the fibers are washed. Zabada fibers outperform traditional cloths soaked in bleach, anti-bacterial cloths and other microfibers on the market.

My thoughts:

I was very excited to review this product. If I can get chemicals out of my home, I'm happy! The items Zabada sent me were a cleaning mitt, microfiber shining cloth, and a bag to wash my items.

Now I just needed a mess! I decided to let my stove get dirty. I promise, it doesn't usually stay this dirty, but I let a few days of cooking build up.

I cook eggs a lot, and use lots of spices. I'm not even sure my photo gives justice to how dirty my stove was. I followed the easy instructions that came with the cleaning glove and cloth. I wet the glove in water, rolled it as instructed, and squeezed out the water. I placed my hand inside and got to scrubbing. It is kinda weird placing your hand inside the wet glove and I didn't get enough water out at first. So it took a few tries to get it right.
The glove has two different sides. One side a little more scrubier than the other. I have to admit, it did a really good job. I was impressed by how easy it was to cut through the grease on the stove. After you use the scrubbing mitt, you go back over the area with a microfiber polishing cloth they provided. It gets all the extra water up and leaves the area with a light shine.

Now that's a clean stove. I was very impressed with what I could do with just water. I used this on my granite counter tops as well and they felt so smooth to the touch.

This is a product I would use again, and plan to. I'd love to get my hands on their bathroom line as well. For anyone looking to get chemicals out of their home, check out these products. Not only did my kitchen look clean, but knowing that the clothes killed off bacteria made me feel sale to place food on my counter after.

My Thoughts

As a green mom, I am always on the look out for chemical free skincare products that are safe to use for me and my children, but still get the job done.  Safe Harbor
comes in formulas for both face and body, but they are more than just sunscreen. In addition to providing powerful SPF protection, it's also a non-greasy formula that's actually good for your skin. It helps to prevent age spots and provides superior moisture protection. It even has a pleasant aroma.

I tried several different variates with SPF ranging from 30 to 50, and there were lots of things I liked about this product.
Each one offers a smooth formula that glides onto skin, rubbing in evenly and leaving behind no greasy residue.  Each application leaves your skin feeling soft and touchable. In addition to it being a more natural alternative, the sunscreen is not at all greasy or sticky when it's applied. I also like the scent. It was very light and doesn't smell like chemicals. It almost feels like you're applying regular skin cream. And of course, most importantly, it worked perfectly. There was not one speck of sunburn on me or the kids even after a full eight hours in the sun without reapplying.
